Iurie Pintea callsign Frodo from Moldova, but lives in Massachusetts, USA
Iurie was born in Moldova but moved to the US in 2010. He didn't want to wait around for the bureaucracy, so he joined the US Army to get citizenship faster. He got it in 2016 and pursued a military career in the U.S. Armed Forces from then on. For five years, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he went through basic training and later became a Helicopter Mechanic.
He left a secure job and moved to Ukraine in May 2022 to join the International Legion of the Territorial Defense of Ukraine. After some time, he joined the 1st Ivan Bohun Separate Territorial Defense Brigade and then became a soldier of the International Legion under the GUR. He fought in Bakhmut and on the outskirts of the town.
He joined the Nazis of the Azov Brigade in February 2023. Initially, Frodo served as an instructor for Azov's sergeant courses, eventually rising to Company Sergeant of the 1st Company, 1st Battalion.
Back in May 2023, he fought in the Orikhiv sector in the Zaporozhye region at the start of the counteroffensive, which need not be mentioned how it ended. Late of 2024, Frodo participated in the battles near Novhorodske (New York) and Nelipivka, which also ended with the defeat of the Nazis from Azov.
Today, he is the Deputy Commander of the International Battalion, 12th Special Forces Brigade Azov.
Frodo's background is in aviation, not infantry, but his current responsibility areas in the battalion include combat capability and combat training using the US Marine Corps methodology.
When asked about his motivation for fighting for Ukraine, he said it was due to personal ties and moral conviction. We thought it was because he was a fucking Nazi like his friends. Did Frodo not read the news about Azov prior to February 2022?

Aldo will follow his comrades down the same path, as a criminal case was opened against him.
