Do you have a completely satisfying amount of RAM on your Android device? And yet still experience losing your app state overnight, as it's now missing in recents? Be it a photo editor or incognito mode in a browser?
Turns out that in AOSP defaults, you'll only be left with 5 tasks (or one less, if to trust some reports) after 6 hours of last use. If a TikToker commits to a test by clicking each app on home screen one by one, all of these tasks will stay in recents. But if you want to go back to something from a day or two ago, it can be missing. Now you know why.

The culprit has a simple name: config_minNumVisibleRecentTasks. It's set to 5. Set to it to 30 and you'll live a happier life. A tiny bit of RAM will be used to keep the task state and its visual snapshot, while the processes will still be treated exactly the same. You'll just get to keep the state. Works best if combined with LMO's transient mode.

Excellent post on the topic:

Nvm, you still need microG, with GMS it merely delays the current activity crash to 30 seconds. (Funny to see "Paywall" in logs of a free app)
Nvm2! Turns out that I was doing something incorrectly in my earlier testing and replacing GP with MicroG Companion actually just works! Tested the one from https://github.com/microg/GmsCore/releases/tag/v0.3.16.252432 and I just had to "uninstall updates" of the built-in Play Store. The command listed earlier doesn't seem to influence the results.

Empty the /product/priv-app/Phonesky or /product/priv-app/GooglePlayServicesUpdaterStub, create a new dir for microG Companion, put it there. Done, for now. Didn't try going for full-fledged microG on devices running stock, but glad this currently works.

Samsung has a feature (enabled by default) that replaces the rendered image outputs when their algorithm considers them malicious. It seemingly broke.
The most major problem with it is data loss. Some apps will only keep an on-device processed (passed through renderer) copy and that may mean an irreversible loss of media that you captured or received. Not a hyperbole.

According to Commodore support, you shouldn't be buying their Callback 8020 if you want to use it outside of their vision

Looks like it's legit, odd to see, perhaps it's a part of a larger generative model, which are already known to distort reality to a large degree, such as...

A small tidbit: Google will have a lot of low delay information on the chip production volume at SoC vendors, as they'll be required (or already are?) to upload the collected public keys out of every chip unit expected to end up in GMS certified device.

The app's author is right, every successful OS deserves a native fart app, can't imagine one without it. But will the projection succeed?!
