A very blatant example of anti-Palestinian, racist Zionist propaganda is the continuous referral to Gaza’s Health Ministry as “Hamas-run.” This is a conscious attempt to delegitimize Palestinian deaths and discredit valid reports of Israeli war crimes. Let’s break down the reasons this rhetoric is not just false but also malicious.

1. Delegitimizing Palestinian Deaths Through Propaganda

The moment the Health Ministry in Gaza releases casualty numbers, Zionists and their media allies immediately try to discredit the reports by labeling it the “Hamas-run Health Ministry.” This is a deliberate move to cast doubt on the numbers of Palestinians killed by Israeli bombs. The reality is that Gaza’s Health Ministry is a civilian ministry run by doctors, nurses, and medical professionals, not Hamas officials.

This very same ministry of health also operates in the West Bank under the PA, yet nobody questions its credibility there—only when it reports Israel’s massacres in Gaza. The UN, Red Cross, and all international humanitarian organizations all rely on Gaza’s Health Ministry as a credible source of casualty figures. This racist double standard is a Zionist effort to erase Palestinian fatalities and legitimize genocide.

2. Hamas Was Democratically Elected, and Israel & the PA Block Palestinian Democracy

Hamas was democratically elected in 2006 in free and fair elections, reflecting the will of the Palestinian people. Instead of respecting the outcome, Israel, the U.S., and Western powers:
• Rejected the results and imposed a brutal blockade, an act of collective punishment (a war crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention).
• Deprived over 2 million Gazans of food, medicine, clean water, and the ability to rebuild.
• Blocked new elections for 18 years, alongside the unelected Palestinian Authority (PA).

The only reason Hamas remains in control of Gaza is because Israel and the PA have deliberately obstructed the Palestinian people’s right to choose their leadership, while the PA continues to rule the West Bank undemocratically with full Western support.

3. Dismissing Palestinian Testimonies to Justify War Crimes

Calling it the “Hamas-run Health Ministry” isn’t just inaccurate, it’s a colonial tactic used to erase Palestinian suffering. It implies that reports from Gaza’s doctors, hospitals, and humanitarian workers are unreliable simply because they expose Israeli crimes. The same ministry operates in the West Bank under the PA, yet only Gaza’s numbers are questioned.
