Despite initial reports, the SDF continues to maintain control of Aktan prison (36°00'08.4"N 39°04'11.2"E) north of the city of Raqqa, which is suffering intense bombardment of the prison complex and besieged troops.

Situation on Hasakah [19/1/2026]: [23:00]
After several hours of fighting, the SRG took control of Shaddadi, where it freed hundreds of ISIS terrorists. The militants continued advancing north and east, reaching the Jabisah oil fields, the Kabiba oil field, and the Tal Safwak border crossing. In response, Iraqi forces began reinforcing the border for security reasons.
Meanwhile, from Raqqa, the STG reached the outskirts of Hasakah city, where it is preparing for an imminent assault.

As the STG approaches areas with a large Kurdish presence, killings of minorities intensify. Faced with Mazloum Abdi's refusal to surrender completely, as demanded by Jolani, the SDF and YPG announce a general mobilisation of the population to defend the cantons of Kobani and Jazirah, where the Syriacs, Assyrians, Armenians, Arameans and Yazidis minorities also live. From night until morning, the STG continued to capture towns in the direction of the M-4 motorway despite resistance from the YPG. While attacks from Abu Serra and Qarah Qawzaq were repelled, the militants managed to capture Sarrin, near the American base in Septê.

Since yesterday, the STG continued to secure the M4 to the vicinity of Al-'Aliyah, while sporadic fighting began on Abdulaziz Mountain. Meanwhile, in the vicinity of the city of Hasakah, the SDF/YPG eased the pressure after a counterattack to the south, retaking Tell Baroud (36°25'16.4‘N 40°41'53.2’E). Meanwhile, to the east and south, the STG secured the Hasakah dam and entered Tishrin/Hawl Oil Field, reaching Hawl Camp (where thousands of ISIS terrorists and their families are located, under US supervision following the withdrawal of the SDF).
