🇬🇧 Mykolaiv suffers from daily shellings, but you won't read much about it in the news, say Serhiy and Natalia, local volunteers with whom "Solidarity Collectives" cooperate. A lot of people left the city. Those who stayed behind and numerous refugees from Mykolaiv and Kherson regions face many difficulties. First of all, lack of drinkable water.
🚰 Shellings destroyed the water pipe from the Dnipro river, where drinkable water for the city was collected. So today, water is brought from the salty Buh estuary, but it's unfit for drinking. So instead, vehicles deliver drinkable water from other regions, and volunteers hope to install the desalination system.
🏭 The economic situation is complicated in the city. Many enterprises closed down or were damaged by Russian shells and missiles, which left people jobless and without money. That's why humanitarian aid is now many the only way of survival. You can see cues for it every day.

🇺🇦 Сьогодні ми хотіли б розказати історію ще одного підрозділу, який підтримують «Колективи Солідарності». Це група з 6 анархістів, які боронять Харківську область у складі мінометної батареї при ТрО.
🏴 У перші місяці війни двоє наших товаришів Дмитро та Євгеній у складі мінометної батареї брали участь у обороні Києва. Коли ж російські війська відійшли від столиці, їх оперативно перевели на східний напрямок — оборону Харкова та Харківської області. Під час цих боїв Євгеній отримав уламкове поранення від артобстрілу противника, його було госпіталізовано. Зараз він проходить лікування у Європі.
👥 Але прийшло і поповнення. До підрозділу Дмитра приєдналися ще 5 активістів, які перевелися з антиавторитарного взводу, прагнучи потрапити на передову. Справді, бої на харківському напрямку не вщухають, а ситуація лишається важкою. Тож завдання номер один для нас — забезпечити хлопців усім необхідним.

🇬🇧 Today we’re sharing a story about another unit supported by Solidarity Collectives. They are a group of 6 anarchists serving in the defence of the Kharkiv region as part of a mortar battery within the Territorial Defence Forces.
🏴 In the initial months of the war, two comrades, Dmytro and Yevgeniy joined a mortar battery to support the defence of Kyiv. When the Russian troops withdrew from the capital, they were promptly transferred to the eastern front, joining the defence of Kharkiv city and the Kharkiv region. In one of those battles Yevgeny was injured by a shrapnel from the enemy artillery, and he was hospitalised. He is currently undergoing treatment in Europe.
👥 But reinforcement came: 5 activists joined Dmytro's unit, who transferred from the anti-authoritarian platoon, seeking to get closer to the front line. Fighting in the Kharkiv front has been relentless indeed, and it has not subsided, so the situation remains difficult. Our first priority is to provide the guys with everything they need.
🤝 Over the past months, we have provided them with helmets, tactical goggles, boots, shoes and much more. Bulletproof vests and rangefinders had been purchased earlier. Now they are fundraising for a pickup truck, to help their unit gain greater autonomy and mobility. Here are their details, in case you want to support their unit directly:

🇺🇦 На жаль, ми не маємо права багато розказувати про цей підрозділ. Хлопці займаються радіорозвідкою на Ізюмському напрямку, і їхній внесок у виявлення переміщень російської техніки та удари по ній важко переоцінити. Але для оперативної обробки технічних даних без сучасної техніки не обійтися.

🇺🇦 У нашого друга Олега багато талантів. Він політолог, музикант, фотограф, зоозахисник, активіст. А зараз — офіцер 72-ї бригади, що воює на Сході України. Їхня бригада зокрема, утримувала трасу Лисичанськ — Бахмут. ❗️Сьогодні ми хотіли б поговорити не про нашу роботу чи запити від бійців, а про існуючі суспільні проблеми. Одна з таких — спроба вирішити економічні проблеми, з якими зіткнулася країна через повномасштабне російське вторгнення, коштом скорочення прав найманих робітників. Зокрема і тих, які пішли на фронт.

Законопроєкт скасовує норму про збереження за призваним чи мобілізованим працівником виплати середньої заробітної плати. I thank the Verkhovna Rada and the President for the significant reduction in my monthly income,» from a Facebook post by the junior sergeant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, activist Ilya Krotenko.
❗️Today we would like to talk not about our work or requests from fighters but about existing social problems. One of these is the attempt to solve the economic problems faced by the country because of the full-scale Russian invasion by reducing the rights of salaried workers. This includes those who have gone to the front.
🚫One (but not only) of these cuts was the passing of Bill 7251. The bill abolishes the norm of retaining the average wage for a conscripted or mobilized worker. This decision could hurt the military and their families, as Ilya writes about in his post.

Підтримати антиімперіалістичну війну в Україну приїхало чимало добровольців-антиавторитаріїв з різних країн світу. Проте не всі вони отримують забезпечення від держави. Частина досі перебуває на правах добровольців, зарплатня яким не передбачена.

💬 «Ми учасники і учасниці кооперативу “Хліб насущний”. До вторгнення ми займались популяризацією ідей фріганства та DIY. Фріганили, готували, годували на локальних заходах, сквотували і будували на сквоті відкриті майстерні. У лютому частина групи приняла рішення, що у разі вторгнення ми лишаємося тут, на Півдні країни, аби чинити спротив. На початку березня ми вступили до одного зі збройних угруповань, для того щоб на його базі сформувати свій медико-евакуаційний екіпаж. На тому етапі нас дуже підтримали спорядженням товариші і товаришки з “Операції Солідарність”, а наразі продовжують підтримувати з “Колективів Солідарності”. Зараз ми працюємо на різних напрямках, уже не в складі однієї групи. Але об’єднані спільною ідеєю — ідеєю свободи, рівності, сестринства, братства і всього того, що можна здобути лише у боротьбі.»
Ми допомогли хлопцям і дівчатам з бронежилетами, військовим взуттям, одягом, підсумками, ремінно-плечовими системами та іншим спорядженням.

We were freelancing, cooking, feeding at local events, squatting and building open workshops on the squat. In February, part of the group decided that we would stay here in the South (of Ukraine) in case of invasion to fight back. At the beginning of March, we joined one of the armed groups to form our medico-evacuation crew on its base. At that stage, we were supported with equipment by comrades from Operation Solidarity, and now we continue to be supported by Solidarity Collectives. Currently, we are working in different directions, no longer in the same group. But united by a common idea - the idea of freedom, equality, sisterhood, fraternity and everything that can only be achieved through fighting.»
We helped guys with flak jackets, military footwear, clothing, pouches, personal load carrying equipment and other equipment.

🇺🇦 Нам місяць! Точніше, місяць від того моменту, як ми офіційно працюємо під іменем «Колективи Солідарності». І хоча переформатування не було легким, кількість роботи лише збільшилася. Тільки за цей місяць ми передали ПНБ, тепловізор, 10 балістичних шоломів, 15 тактичних окулярів, 15 рюкзаків, понад 100 різних видів військового одягу, 30 пар тактичного взуття, понад 100 різних підсумків (під магазини, гранати, рації, турнікети), 2 активних навушників, 8 РПС, 6 ременів для зброї, 7 обвісів на зброю (коліматори, пікотіні тощо), 5 рацій, 2 дрони (DJI та Autel), 2 камери GoPro для БПЛА, тактичну медицину (100+ бандажів, 60 гемостатичних бинтів, 30 оклюзійних пов’язок, 20 турнікетів CAT тощо), будівельні інструменти. І це далеко не повний перелік. Ми також обладнали евакуаційний автомобіль та забезпечили його екіпаж усім необхідним, надавали матеріальну допомога бійцям, закуповували паливо.
✔️ За цей місяць ми здійснили поїздку у Кривий Ріг, передали гуманітарну допомогу у Миколаїв та їжу у Харків.
🔥 Зробити все це було б неможливо без великої кількості людей, об’єднаних ідеєю допомогти українському руху опору. Тому «Колективи» — це не просто назва. Це мережа з різних організацій, ініціатив та груп в Україні та світі. Без мережі АЧХ (особливо АЧХ Дрезден, Галісія та Київ), польської No Borders, Yellow Peril Tactical з США, «Екологічної платформи» зі Львова та багатьох інших, нічого з цього не було б можливе. А без друзів із «Трудових ініціатив» ми не мали б прекрасного офісу-складу у Києві.
🖤 Але тим більше нічого цього не сталося б, аби не ваша підтримка. За перший місяць ми отримали понад 7500 євро. І це не враховуючи анонсовані нами фандрейзингові кампанії під точкові потреби окремих підрозділів. 🇬🇧 We are a month old! Or, to be more precise, a month since we officially started working under the name "Solidarity collectives". And though reformatting wasn't easy, the amount of work only increased. During this month alone we've passed a night vision device, thermal vision devise, 10 ballistic helmets, 15 tactical eyewear, 15 backpacks, more than 100 various military clothes items, 30 pairs of tactical footwear, more than 100 different pouches (for magazines, grenades, radios, tourniquets), 2 pairs of active headphones, 8 load-carrying vests, 6 weapon belts, 7 weapon kits, 5 radios, 2 drones (DJI and Autel), 2 GoPro cameras for drones, a lot of tactical meds (100+ bandages, 60 hemostatic gauzes, 30 occlusive wound dressings, 20 CAT tourniquets, etc), construction tools, and many more things. We also equipped an evacuation vehicle and provided its crew with everything necessary, providing material aid to fighters, and buying fuel.
✔️ This month we also made a trip to Kryvyj Rih, sent humanitarian aid to Mykolayiv, and food to Kharkiv.
🔥 None of it would be possible without a huge number of people united by the idea of helping the Ukrainian resistance movement. That's why 'Collectives' are not just a name. It's a network of different organizations, initiatives, and groups inside and outside Ukraine. The ABC network (especially ABC Dresden, Galicia, and Kyiv), Polish No Borders team, Yellow Peril Tactical from the US, Ecological Platform from Lviv, and many others, each deserving a separate post - they all made it happen. And without our friends in Labour initiatives, we wouldn't have a beautiful office/warehouse in Kyiv.

🤝 This is a good occasion to remind you that now we support about ten comrades serving in SOF ranks. These include the group of 'birdies' who perform air reconnaissance in the Donetsk direction, a sniper in the Kharkiv direction, boys who've been training intensively and now are transferring to the East, and others about whom we can't tell yet.
✊ Special congratulations go to our comrade 'Stork', the commander of the air reconnaissance group. Last Friday she received a sergeant rank for outstanding abilities and professional command.

🇺🇦 Нас часто запитують чи не потрібні нам дрони, які до війни запускали задля фільмування панорамних видів, а зараз могли б знадобитися військовим для аеророзвідки. «Адже краще щось, ніж нічого»...
☝️Все не так просто. Не кожен дрон підходить під параметри безпеки в тактичних умовах.
1️⃣ Тож який дрон є найоптимальнішим в тактичних умовах? DJI Mavic 3. На фоні інших дронів DJI його параметри найзбалансованіші: ціна, далечина польоту, прошивка і просте керування. Якщо Mavic 2 літає на 4 км, то Mavic 3 літає до 8–9 км. Також він добре підходить для новачків.
2️⃣ Та перш ніж літати на дроні в умовах бойових дій, ви маєте впевнитися, що аероскопи не зможуть помітити ваш пристрій і відстежити розташування операторів. Для вирішення цього питання є спеціальний прилад-анонімайзер «Ольга» або ж спеціальна прошивка дрона, що приховує його геолокаційні дані, сумісні з моделлю Mavic 3.
3️⃣ Зауважимо, що Mavic 3 є більш універсальним приладом для розвідки, але для різних умов можуть також підходити Mavic 2, Autel, Matrice.

🇬🇧 We're often asked if we need drones that were used to film panoramic views before the war, and now they could come in handy for air reconnaissance by the military. «Anything's better than nothing, right?»
☝️It's not that easy, unfortunately. Not every drone meets safety requirements in a combat environment.
1️⃣ So which drone is the best for use in a combat environment? DJI Mavic 3. Compared to other DJI drones, its specs are the most balanced: price, range, software, and simple controls. The range of Mavic 2 is 4 km, for Mavic 3 it's 8-9 km. It's also good for newbies.
2️⃣ But before you fly a drone in a combat environment you need to make sure that aeroscopes can't spot your device and track the operator's position. To deal with this threat, you can use the anonymizer device 'Olga' or special firmware which hides geolocation data.
3️⃣ Mavic 3 is the most versatile device for air reconnaissance but Mavic 2, Autel, and Matrice might also be useful for specific conditions.
