The Czech Republic's parliament on Dec. 1 approved a proposal to train Ukrainian soldiers in the country and deploy Czech soldiers in European Union member states to train Ukrainian service members, Radio Prague International reported.

Up to 4,000 Ukrainian soldiers will be able to undergo training in the Czech Republic in 2023, the report reads.

Germany has handed over to Ukraine unmanned surface vessels, some bridge-laying tanks and dozens of border protection vehicles as part of their new batch of military aid, according to a statement posted on the German government website.

The equipment delivered to Ukraine over the past few days includes three Beaver bridge-laying tanks, eight unmanned surface vessels (two were transferred to Ukraine earlier), 12 border protection vehicles (65 of them have already been provided in total), 4,000 sleeping bags (in addition to the 10,000 delivered earlier), spare parts for Mi-24 helicopters, and 30 ambulances.

⚡️Spanish minister: Letter bombs won't change decision to help Ukraine.

Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said on Dec. 1 that no letters with explosives or any other violent actions would change the country's "firm and clear" commitment to support Ukraine in its defense against ' Russian aggression', BBC reported.

Earlier on the same day, yet another letter bomb was found at the U.S. embassy in Madrid, according to the Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Previously, similar explosives were sent to Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and Defense Minister Margarita Robles.

Letter bombs have been sent to many top Spanish officials, the U.S. and Ukrainian embassies in Madrid, the Torrejon de Ardoz air base in Madrid, and the headquarters of Spanish weapons manufacturer Instalaza, which produces rocket launchers supplied to Ukraine.

The U.S. is working with Middle Eastern countries to move a handful of their air defense systems to Ukraine, according to the CEO of Raytheon Technologies.- POLITICO

The goal is to send National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems to Ukraine in the next three to six months, CEO Greg Hayes said in an interview. The U.S. would then backfill those systems with new NASAMS in the Middle East over the next 24 months.

He noted that shifting systems from the Middle East is faster than building them in the U.S. “Just because it takes 24 months to build, it doesn’t mean it’s going to take 24 months to get in [the] country,” he said.

It takes two years to build NASAMS because of the lead time required to buy electronic components and rocket motors, Hayes said.

Ukrainian Armed Forces move artillery from Zaporizhzhya near Kremenna: why is it needed?

On 29 November, tactical groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to probe the Russian Armed Forces' defenses near Kremenna. Units of the 17th Tank, 80th and 95th Airborne Assault Brigades, and the 4th Tank and 92nd Mechanized Brigades were thrown in to recon the battle without artillery cover.

However, a few hours after the start of the movement, the convoy of vehicles was detected by an Orlan-30 drone near the village of Zhytlovka (8 km north of Kremenna). After detecting and reconnoitering targets on the moving T-64BV tanks and M113 APCs, the Ukrainian Armed Forces used rocket artillery. Due to the shelling, Ukrainian forces ceased movement and withdrew to their initial positions, losing between 80 and 150 men in a few hours.

After observing the retreat of Ukrainian forces, Uragan complexes and long-range Krasnopol shells struck the rear of the Ukrainian troops in the settlements of Torske, Terny, Novosadovo, Makiivka, Stelmakhivka and Berestovoye. Expecting attacks by the AFU, the Russian Armed Forces' multiple rocket launchers shifted positions in advance, but due to a shortage of shells and guns, which Voennaya Khronika previously wrote about, Ukrainian artillery did not engage in a counter-battery fight.

According to the reports of the Military chronicle, the crews of the M777A2 howitzers remaining at the Ukrainian armed forces near Kremenna, as well as Polish 155 mm Krab self-propelled gun emplacements, use the remaining M795 high-explosive shells with a range of up to 20 kilometers for firing due to the lack of ammunition. Their use does not allow the AFU to conduct counter-battery duels with the Russian Giatsint-B guns using Krasnopol-M guided missiles (range of 25 km) and 3OF30 active rocket launchers (up to 33.1 km).

Due to the failure of another attack on Kremenna, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are forced to pull artillery in this direction from other areas. According to some reports, several batteries of M777A2 howitzers and Slovakian Zuzana 2 SAU of the 45th Artillery Brigade of the AFU, previously deployed in Zaporizhia, may be removed from their positions in the near future, which may lead to the unbalance of Ukrainian forces in the area and collapse of the front in case of counterattack by the AFU.
