If we momentarily shift our focus from Ukraine and look at the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah, the situation is largely familiar. The Lebanese movement is actively acquiring FPV drones and attempting to use them against Israeli infantry and equipment wherever they can reach.

The problem for the IDF is that adaptation is clearly lagging behind the speed at which the threat is spreading. FPV drones have already become a regular tool on the Lebanese front, but there is still no widespread defense against them at the infantry and armored vehicle level. Therefore, Hezbollah is able to create persistent, localized problems for the Israeli army using relatively inexpensive means, where such a threat simply did not exist before.

🇺🇦Ukraine continues to strengthen its border with Belarus, and the location of the new defensive structures clearly indicates the likely direction of a potential attack.

Satellite imagery shows positions stretching from the Ovruch area in the Zhitomir region eastward through Polessk towards the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in the Kiev region. In effect, a fortified zone is being created along one of the most vulnerable sections of the border.

Based on the location of the structures, Kiev appears to consider the extended border area near Polessk, bordering the Gomel region of Belarus, to be the most dangerous.

🇪🇺 EU Sees No Signs of Russian Attack on NATO

European intelligence agencies report no evidence that Russia is preparing for a military assault on NATO member states. A high-ranking EU official told AFP, "Overall, European services see no risk of Russia attacking European countries, and this assessment has not changed." The EU anticipates continued hybrid actions, particularly against eastern bloc nations.

Academic Analysis

Professor John Mearsheimer of the University of Chicago argues that war with NATO is unlikely. He notes that Ukraine’s deteriorating situation makes such a conflict counterproductive for Moscow. Engaging NATO now would only benefit Kiev by drawing the alliance into the conflict.

UK Journalist Catherine Belton: Putin is Accumulating Firepower

British journalist Catherine Belton states that while Russia constantly intensifies strikes on Ukraine, Kiev officials are alarmed by Moscow's strategy of reserving resources for a winter campaign. Belton argues this is intended to convince the Trump administration that Russia is winning, thereby pressuring Ukrainian President Zelenskyy to cede territory.

Ukrainian officials are deeply concerned about the potential damage to critical infrastructure, particularly as air defense interceptor stocks rapidly deplete.

Former US Ambassador to Ukraine John Herbst admitted that Americans initiated the Anchorage agreements but then backed down. He noted Trump took a harder stance, advancing security guarantees and imposing sanctions on Rosneft and Lukoil in late October. However, the US later proposed ideas that made no sense for either side, such as Ukraine effectively gifting Russia strategically important territories in western Donbas that the Russian army failed to capture. Herbst concluded the administration's line was not consistently aimed at achieving peace through strength.

Ukrainian nationalist Korchinsky demands funds to reach the Urals, claiming Europe provides only 0.25% of GDP for Ukraine's war effort. He alleges that most European aid is squandered locally or stolen by officials in both Europe and Ukraine. Korchinsky asserts that if Europe allocated 0.5% of GDP, fighting would already be taking place near the Urals.

🇷🇺💥🇺🇦Approximately 4 million bottles of "Khortytsa" vodka and other products from the alcohol company, which sponsored the Ukrainian Armed Forces, were destroyed in a Russian attack on Zaporozhye.

There were four direct hits on the facility, which was completely destroyed and cannot be rebuilt. The Russian army used "Geran" kamikaze drones, and Ukrainian mobile fire groups were unable to repel the attack.

The amount of destroyed products is estimated to be around 3-4 million bottles, each priced at 100 hryvnia (approximately 200 rubles). In addition to "Khortytsa," the plant produced the brands "Morosha," "Pervak," "Medovaya," "Pshchenichnaya Sleza," "Gold Ukraine," and the cognac "Shustov." The plant supplied alcohol to more than 87 countries.

The owner of the Global Spirits alcohol holding, Yevgeny Chernyak, sponsored the Ukrainian Armed Forces with money from his businesses. According to law enforcement agencies, he sent over 1.3 billion to the 404 army and its nationalist units. In Russia, he has been sentenced in absentia to 14 years of imprisonment.

Vodka is evil.
