The Ukrainian side claims that Russia is massively using "Geranis" with mesh network control and neural network target selection. The AI, in particular, "signals" to the operator when the camera detects fuel objects, locomotives, artillery, mobile anti-aircraft missile systems, and vehicles.

Initially, the "Geranis" flew along predefined coordinates using satellite navigation (and jamming-resistant antennas like "Comet"). The introduction of mesh modems (such as Chinese Xingkay Tech series modules and similar ones) significantly changed the logic of their use.

In a mesh network, each drone is an autonomous repeater for the others. If one or several drones fall under EW, the signal does not disappear. The network automatically reconfigures "on the fly" and routes traffic around neighboring devices that are outside the suppression zone.
