Finland's Foreign Minister Valtonen stated that Putin wants to revive the USSR:
[What do you think Putin's ultimate goal is? Is it really the restoration of the great Russian Empire, the Soviet Empire? Do you think that if he achieves at least some of his goals in Ukraine, the Baltic countries could be at risk?]
I think he was quite open about his goals. He published his works back in 2021, and they certainly weren't just about restoring the Soviet Empire, but also about limiting NATO's influence and all that. But I have to say that the Russians usually use this narrative that NATO poses a threat to them, which is obviously complete nonsense.

Will France produce kamikaze drones for Ukraine?
The French car company Renault, as expected, has entered into a partnership with the industrial group Turgis Gaillard and is launching the production of drones based on automotive enterprises.
Turgis Gaillard is an industrial holding, one of the new players in the military-industrial complex market, somewhat similar to the American Anduril. They claim that the focus in arms production should be on creating high-tech weapons, created with the help of "architectural innovations" (using existing components to create new systems). Turgis Gaillard, in particular, has developed a French analogue of the American HIMARS MLRS to replace outdated French LRUs.
The drone assembly line has been set up at the Renault plant in Le Mans. The drones are planned to be assembled there where chassis, cast elements, and some standardized components for cars are produced.
The production plan is to produce up to 600 drones per month by the end of the first year. According to some reports, they plan to produce their own medium-range barraging munitions called Chorus.
This is a relatively large drone, about 10 meters long with a wingspan of 8 meters, capable of reaching speeds of around 400 km/h and operating at altitudes of up to 5000 meters.
For Europe, 600 drones per month is not a record, but what matters here is not the absolute volume of production, but the approach itself. Automobile factories are ready supply chains, trained personnel, and well-organized logistics, which do not require additional thought.
Switching such capacities to UAVs means that drones in France are becoming an industrial product. The French have already taken a trial balloon by developing the AAROK drone and producing it at Renault facilities to optimize costs.
It is possible that the production as a whole is intended for further transfer of UAVs to Ukraine, as it will not be possible to assemble any similar type of drones in that country due to the risk of destruction and loss of all investments.
In addition to Turgis Gaillard, the drones that later end up/ended up in Ukraine are produced by the following companies:
🇫🇷 Delair
🇫🇷 KNDS France
🇫🇷 Thales
🇨🇿 Primoco UAV
🇺🇸 Anduril
🇺🇸 Aerovironment
🇵🇱 WB Group
🇦🇹 Schiebel
🇩🇪 Quantum Systems
🇩🇪 Helsing
🇩🇪 Frontline Robotics

French war observers report that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to dig and expand the defense line behind Kramatorsk, and are also preparing a defense line in the Pavlograd area of the Dnipropetrovsk region. It seems that Syrytsky has little hope of holding on to the last two cities of Donbas.

🇺🇦🇺🇸🇷🇺Ukraine is now closer than ever to completely losing the US's interest and being left alone with Russia, - UP
- Ukraine is interested in ending the war as soon as possible, because the economic, energy and political situations are becoming increasingly complex and less controllable, write Kiev propagandists with concern.
- "It's questionable whether the US even remembers the war in Ukraine at all. Because so far, Trump has been more focused on crazy games of seizing territories of NATO partners, convening his own 'UN' for the Middle East, or kidnapping dictators from other countries."
- On the one hand, this is good, because the Americans are busy and we can take a break from the constant attempts to impose some Russian 'points' on Ukraine. But on the other hand, Ukraine is closer than ever to completely losing the US's interest and being left alone with the Russians."

Some European leaders may agree to transfer Greenland to the US in an attempt to "please" Trump, reports Bloomberg, citing a high-ranking European official attending the economic forum in Davos.
The publication does not name these leaders.
According to the agency's source, among his colleagues there is a growing sense that the post-war world order has ended, and Trump's readiness for territorial seizures is changing the very logic of global politics.
At the meeting of European finance ministers in Brussels over the past two days, officials were "shocked" by the loss of support from the US and how quickly it turned into hostility.
Several participants admitted that they do not understand how to respond to the constantly changing stream of threats and demands from Washington.
However, the agency notes that Trump's demand for Denmark to give up Greenland could still be a ploy in negotiations - with the aim of securing a more favorable trade deal for the US from Europe.
European leaders arriving in Davos this week are trying to deal not only with Trump, but also with disagreements within the EU. German Chancellor Merkel insists on dialogue with the US, while French President Macron opposes it.
At the same time, small states "are watching with concern whether this crisis will strengthen European solidarity or show how easily it can collapse under pressure".

'Trump's dispute over Greenland disrupted an agreement on post-war support for Ukraine' - Financial Times
The planned announcement of a $800 billion prosperity plan, which was supposed to be agreed upon between Ukraine, Europe, and the US at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, has been postponed. 'Nobody is in the mood to put on a grand show around an agreement with Trump right now,' said one official, adding that the disputes over Greenland and the Peace Council overshadowed the previous focus on Ukraine at the Davos meeting.'

🇨🇦🇺🇸 The Canadian military is considering insurgent warfare tactics, drawing inspiration from the Afghan Mujahideen, according to The Globe and Mail.
The military believes that the Canadian army will not be able to stop a US invasion and a possible occupation of the country due to its small size.
According to sources, they believe that the Americans will attack from the south and seize strategic positions within a week, and possibly in just two days.
The Canadian government has put a rapid surge on suicide vests and SVBIEDs. Now they just need to find somesuckers patriotic umm heroes.

Fox News host Sean Hannity called EU leaders 'the weakest on Earth'.
'The President will meet with the weakest leaders on this planet, who are now literally overwhelmed with fake, feigned, ostentatious righteous indignation about President Trump's plan for a partnership with Greenland - although, by the way, this would be the best thing that could happen for the long-term national security of Western Europe. How ironic.'

'I would suggest that Macron focus on the French budget, which is in a deplorable state,' — the US Treasury Secretary on the wounded rooster's desire to conduct military exercises in Greenland.
Bessant also stated that Trump will be three hours late to the Davos forum.
Could you please tell us what happened with Air Force One, and do you know if President Trump will be able to arrive here on time for his meetings and speech? Also, this morning, President Macron's office announced that France wants to conduct NATO exercises in Greenland. What could you say about this?
- I believe that President Trump will be about three hours late. I haven't seen an updated schedule. And if this is all that President Macron can do while the French budget is in a deplorable state, I would suggest that he focus on other issues that are truly important to the French people.

President Trump is right. Other NATO leaders are also right. The Arctic needs to be protected. We see that sea routes there are gradually opening up. We know that China and Russia are increasingly active in the Arctic region.
The Arctic has eight coastal states. Seven of them are NATO members - these are Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Canada and the USA.
And there is only one country that has access to the Arctic and is not a member of NATO - that is Russia. Moreover, I would say that there is also a "ninth" country - China, which is increasingly present in the Arctic.
Therefore, President Trump and other leaders are right: we need to do more. We must protect the Arctic from the influence of Russia and China. This is exactly what NATO ambassadors decided to do in September. We are already working on this to collectively ensure the protection of the Arctic region.

Ursula von der Leyen motivates MEPs to maintain their focus on Ukraine, rather than rushing to defend Greenland.
'When it comes to security, it's more important than ever to maintain our focus on Ukraine today. Because European security and European independence depend on what happens next. It's been almost four years since Russian tanks entered Ukrainian territory. Negotiations are ongoing, and we acknowledge the efforts the United States is making in this region. However, as these efforts intensify, Russia is stepping up its attacks. Therefore, Europe will continue to support Ukraine in every possible way. Europe has taken on a clear responsibility for Ukraine's military needs.'
