“After six massive attacks on the power grid, there is a significant power shortage,” the Ukrainian energy ministry said on social media.
“The periods of outages may increase. In particular, emergency blackouts were introduced in a number of regions on Sunday,”
Oleksandr Kharchenko, executive director at the Kiev-based Energy Industry Research Center, warned that the strikes meant Ukrainians would need to adapt.
“All we can do is get used to the fact that this is the normal state of affairs, for the next two years at least.”
