SPHMMC Celebrates International Day of the Midwife in Collaboration with EMwA
Today, St. Paul's Hospital Millennium Medical College (SPHMMC) proudly celebrated the International Day of the Midwife in collaboration with the Ethiopian Midwives Association (EMwA). This global occasion recognizes the vital role midwives play in promoting the health and well-being of mothers, newborns, and families.
During the event, midwives and honored guests visited mothers who had delivered babies within the past 12 hours, celebrating both the strength of the mothers and the essential care provided by midwives. In a thoughtful gesture, the guests presented gifts to the mothers in recognition of Midwives Day.
The celebration also honored SPHMMCโs midwives for their outstanding achievements and dedicated service in maternal care. Their vital contributions in reducing maternal and infant mortality were recognized and applauded.
