Today, St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, in collaboration with the Hewan Development Association, hosted a day-long health screening event at the Mekodenia Home for the Elderly. The event focused on general gynecology, urogynecology, and cervical cancer, providing vital health screenings and raising awareness about these important issues.

Medical professionals from St. Paul’s Hospital conducted a range of screenings to ensure the well-being of the attendees. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to improve healthcare access and support vulnerable populations.
St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College Holds Fire Drill to Boost Awareness and Response Capacity
St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College conducted a comprehensive fire drill today aimed at raising awareness and enhancing the response capacity of staff in the event of a fire emergency.
The drill, which was held in collaboration with the Addis Ababa City Fire and Emergency Prevention and Rescue Agency, focused on ensuring preparedness and improving coordination between hospital personnel and emergency responders.
The simulation included a series of activities designed to familiarize staff with fire safety procedures, evacuation routes, and emergency protocols, ensuring that everyone at the hospital knows how to act swiftly and efficiently during a crisis.
“We believe that regular fire drills are crucial to ensuring the safety of both our patients and staff and Students,” said Dr. Bethlehem Tibebe the college safety coordinator. “This exercise is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining a safe environment and improving our emergency response capabilities.”
The collaboration with the Addis Ababa City Fire and Emergency Prevention and Rescue Agency further strengthened the hospital’s efforts to foster a culture of safety, preparedness, and rapid response in the face of any potential fire-related incident.
The College plans to continue such drills periodically to enhance safety standards and keep all personnel well-prepared for any emergency.
