The college initiated Ethiopia’s first integrated modular and hybrid problem-based curriculum for its undergraduate medical education, and is currently expanding to various postgraduate and fellowship programs.
ICAF is a research project aiming to develop solutions to support informed family planning decision-making from initial counseling through follow-up care and to produce and test innovative models for better integrating side effects counseling and follow-up support into contraceptive care.
Improving Family Planning Counseling and Follow-up (ICAF) project
1.  Position: Call center agent

Summary:
The Call Center Agent is responsible for providing excellent customer service to clients via inbound and outbound calls. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be a patient and empathetic individual with a positive attitude and a commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Answer inbound calls from customers in a professional and courteous manner.
•  Make outbound (Follow up) calls for clients.
•  Identify and report unique calls based on the SOP.
•  Make the necessary calls to participants following the Mittin Dashboard and using the Click-Thru
•  Complete the Mittin Outgoing Call Log for each follow-up participant in REDCap.
•  Report daily, weekly and monthly using appropriate reporting formats.


Required qualifications:
Candidates will be outstanding individuals with excellent professional and academic credentials. Who show particular interest are applied for this position.
•  First degree in health and health related fields (Medical doctor, health officer, nurse midwifes etc.
•  Prior experience in a customer service role, preferably in a call center environment.

Many contraceptive methods cause menstrual bleeding changes, a common side effect that some women find unacceptable, impacting contraceptive continuation and choice. Fear of infertility, sometimes linked to the misconception that contraception-induced amenorrhea signals infertility, further complicates contraceptive decisions. High-quality contraceptive counselling must address these concerns empathetically, supporting informed decision-making and method switching when necessary, and providing ongoing support for managing side effects. However, research on women's experiences with contraceptive side effects, particularly bleeding changes and infertility concerns, is limited, especially in sub-Saharan Africa. While studies suggest women desire more counselling on side effects and better management support, there's a lack of research exploring their specific preferences for such support. To address these gaps, ICAF has developed and is preparing to test a human-centred design intervention package in Ethiopia and Kenya aimed at improving support for women navigating these challenges.
Project background
ICAF's two-phase project first explored women's concerns about contraceptive side effects and preferences for counselling and follow-up care via in-depth interviews. This informed a human-centred design process, incorporating interviews, focus groups, a community advisory board, and prototype testing, to develop the "Mittin" intervention. The resulting intervention packages, including take-home materials, provider job aids, waiting room support, and call counselling, will be piloted and tested in public health facilities over the next two years.
Position: Graphic designer
Salary: Based on the project scale.

Purpose of the assignment
As part of its broader activities, the ICAF team seeks to employ a qualified graphics designer to improve intervention materials in consultation with ICAF Ethiopia team.
Description of intervention materials
The Mittin intervention has a number of interventions that incorporate graphics along with message. The list of the interventions is listed below
1. Contraceptive counselling flipbook: This is a 16-page flip book with possibility of including addition pages based on reviews of the current draft materials. The flip will be ready for print on A4 or A3 page based on the final decision of the ICAF core team
2. Take home brochures: These are method specific brochures with customized messages on method information, possible side effects and recommended interventions, different contraceptive options and overall information on Mittin intervention.
3. Posters: There are two different posters, one with message on what to expect in contraceptive counselling room and a second one with message on services available at Mittin call centre.
4. FAQ sheet: This is a tool developed to help contraceptive clients remember and encourage to ask the most common question discussed with providers during contraceptive counselling.
5. Call agent counselling aid: This is a virtual counselling aid for use by Mittin call centre agents. The proposed design for this job is to create a pdf file with a click through futures, making conversation during virtual counselling efficient.
Tasks and deliverable
Graphic designer will provide the following activities
1. Review the current intervention tools and advise the ICAF team on graphic design options.
2. Take photo shoots using high-definition camera to collect input and get inspiration for the graphic designs
3. Develop new designs for all the intervention materials based on the suggestions on deliverable 1 and 2
4. Align all the graphic designed based on the MoH requirement.
5. Receive and incorporate feedback from ICAF Ethiopia team on the newly designed intervention materials
6. Submit all copies of photoshoots in jpg format
7. Submit all intervention materials in InDesign and PDF printable formats.
8. Sign a confidentiality and patent agreement with ICAF Ethiopia team.
Required qualification
The graphic designer should have the following qualifications
Mandatory
• A degree in graphic design, industrial design or related fields
• Previous experience of health education material designs.
• Knowledge and experience of MoH design themes.
• Ability to provide evidence of previous similar projects.

የማህፀን ወደ ውጭ መውጣት /መላላት ችግር እንዲሁም በሚያስነጥሱበት፤በሚያስሉበት እንዲሁም ከባድ ነገር በሚያነሱበት ጊዜ የሽንት ማምለጥ ችግር ላለባቸዉ እናቶች ከየካቲት 14 እስከ መጋቢት 10/ 2017ዓ.ም ባሉት ቀናት በማህፀን ተመላላሽ ህክምና ክፍል የህክምና አገልግሎት ይሰጣል። ችግሩ ያለባችሁ በሙሉ አገልግሎቱን ማግኘት ትችላላችሁ፡፡
