 Click online application link: https://portal.sphmmc.edu.et/Web/Announcement
 Read the instruction carefully
 Click Apply now / Apply for admission
 Choose the program you want to apply and click “Apply”
 Insert basic information and summit. You will get the following message
“Application has been successfully submitted. Your application number is: 00005. Pay your application fee (400 Birr) using SPHMMC bank account number 1000006577192 (CBE) and upload the receipt file. Finally, you can upload your academic documents on this portal.”
You should record your application number. It is required to upload receipt and document
Click “upload receipt” which is located on the left side of the window and upload the receipt. You will get the following message:
“You have successfully uploaded your receipt. Now, you can upload your academic documents.”
Click “upload document” which is located on the left side of the window and upload the document and click Summit document.

የእናት ጡት ወተት
የእናት ጡት ወተት መተክያ የሌለው ንጹህ እና ተስማሚ የህጻናት ምግብ ነው፡፡እስካሁን በተጠኑት ጥናቶች መሰረት የእናት ጡት ወተት መተኪያ የሌለው ንፁህ እና ተስማሚ የህፃናት ምግብ ነው፡፡ስለዝህም ህፃናት ያለምንም ተጨማሪ ምግብ የመጀመሪያዎቹን 6 ወራት የእናት ጡት ወተት ብቻ ማግኘት አለባቸው፡፡

የእናት ጡት ወተት ማጥባት ለእናቶች ያለው ጥቅም
አንድ እናት ልጁዋን ጡት በምታጠባበት ወቅት የሚከተሉትን ጥቅሞች ታገኛለች
 ከወሊድ በኃላ የደም መፍሰስ እንዳይከሰት ይከላከላል፡፡
 ከወሊድ በኃላ ክብደትን ለመቀነስ ይረዳል::
 የጡት እና የእንቁላል ማምረቻ ካንሰርን ይከላከላል
 በእድሜ የሚመጡ በሽታዎችን ለምሳሌ ስኳር፣ ግፊት ፣የልብ ህመም እና የመሳሰሉትን በሽታዎችን ይከላከላል
 በእናት እና በልጅ መሃል ያለውን ፍቅር ይጨምራል
 ከወሊድ በኃላ የሚመጣውን ጭንቀት ይቀንሳል
 እናት ስታጠባ ከአዕምሮዋ የሚመነጨው (oxytocin)የሚባል ሆርሞን ደስተኛ እንድትሆን እና ተጨማሪ ወተት እንድታመርት ያደርጋል
 በተፈጥሮ ፀጋ የሚገኝ ስለሆነ ወጪ ቆጣቢ ነው ::
 ለአጭር ጊዜ ቢሆንም እርግዝናን ይከላከላል(እስከ 6 ወር ወይንም የወር አበባ እሰኪመጣ)
 ጊዜ ቆጣቢ እና ለ እናት ቀላል ነው


የእናት ጡት ወተት ለህጻናት ያለው ጥቅም

 ትክክለኛ እና በቂ የሆኑ ንጥረ ነገሮች በውስጡ ስለያዘ ህፃናት በተገቢው ሁኔታ እንዲያድጉ ና ብሩህ አይምሮ እንዲኖራቸው ይረዳል፡፡
 የተለያዩ ኢንፌክሽኖችን ይከላከላል
 ህፃናትን ከ ተቅማጥ እና ተያያዥ በሽታዎች ይከላለላል
 ልጆች ከመጠን ያለፈ ውፍረት እንዳይኖራቸዉ ይከላከላል
 የመጀመርያዉ አይነት የስኳር በሽታን ይከላከላል
 ድንገተኛ የሆነ የጨቅላ ህፃናትን ሞት ይከላከላል
የእናት ጡት ወተት ማጥባት ለቤተሰብ እና ለማህበረሰብ እና ለሀገር ያለው ጥቅም

 ወጪ ቆጣቢ እና በተፈጥሮ የተሰጠ ነው
 የተለያዩ የህፃናት በሽታ በመከላከል የሀገሪቱን የጤና ወጪ ይቀንሳል
 በአጠቃላይ የህፃናትን በሺታዎች በመቀነስ በሀገር ደረጃ የህፃናት ሞትን በእጅጉ ይቀንሳል
 ልጆች ባለ ብሩህ አይምሮ ሆነው እንዲያድጉ በመርዳት በትምህርትም ዉጤታማ እንዲሆኑ ከዛም እንደ ሀገር ጥሩ አበርክቶ እንዲኖራቸዉ ቀላል የማይባል አስተዋፆ አለው::
የሚያጠቡ እናቶች ማወቅ ያለባቸው ነገሮች
ህፃናት ገና በተወለዱ በ 1 ሰአት ዉስጥ ጡት መጥባት መጀመር አለባቸው ከዛ ጀምሮ በ24 ሰአት ዉስጥ ቢያንስ ቢያንስ 8-12 ጊዜ ጡት መጥባት አለባቸው፡፡ ሆኖም በተጨማሪም ሕፃኑ ለመጥባት በሚፈልግበት ጊዜ ሁሉ ማጥባት ተገቢ ነው::
ህፃናት ጡት ለመጥባት ሲፈልጉ የምያሳዩት ምልክቶች
 እጃቸው መጥባት
 በደንብ ነቅተው አፋቸውን ማንቀሳቀስ
 ምላሳቸውን ወጣ ወጣ ማድረግ
 መነጫነጭ
 ማልቀስ

ህጻኑን ለማጥባት እንዲህ አስተካክለው ይያዙ
⇒ አፉ በደንብ ተከፍቶ ጠቆር ያለዉን የጡትዎን ክፍል
አብዛኛዉን መጉረስ አለበት፡፡
⇒ የታችኛዉ ከንፈሩ ወደዉጭ ገልበጥ ማለቱን
⇒ አገጩ ጡትዎን መንካቱን
⇒ ጉንጮቹ ሞላ ማለታቸዉንና
⇒ በመሀል ትንሽ እያረፈ በደንብ መሳቡን ማረጋገጥ ያስፈልጋል፡

Announcement for enrollment to Pediatric Cardiology program for the year 2024/25 G.C

The department of pediatrics and child health kindly invites all qualifying candidate to apply for Pediatric cardiology fellowship program for the year 2024/25 G.C.
TWO fellowship positions are available for this academic year and the final date for application is is September 9, 2024.
Admission requirements

• The candidate must complete the joint screening process for admission which will be conducted by Saint Paul hospital millennium medical college and Cardiac Center Ethiopia.
• The candidate should be graduate from a recognized medical school with Doctor of Medicine and specialty in pediatrics and child health.
• The candidate should provide a recent work experience in government institute at least for the past two years.
• The candidate should be able to submit a sponsorship letter from government institute.
• The candidate should be registered and licensed to practice pediatric and child health by the relevant authority in Ethiopia.
• The candidate should have adequate mental and physical health.

All interested applicants can apply to the office of pediatrics and child health department or to the office of registrar from the date of announcement until September 9, 2024.
Applicants should write a letter of intent with no more than 500 words describing why they are interested to join this fellowship program and should avail the following documents as well:
o Application letter
o Recent CV
o Recommendation letter (at least two)
o Copy of credentials (degree and grade report)
