This guideline incorporates screening, diagnosis, and comprehensive treatment, making Ethiopia the first country to adopt the WHO's Global Breast Cancer Initiative.
Call for Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery fellowship application
St. Pula’s Hospital Millennium Medical College, Department of surgery is delighted to announce its interest to accept fellows in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgery fellowship for the academic year of 2024/2025.
The candidate should fulfill the following requirements
1. The candidate should be certified in general surgery specialty certificate from a recognized university.
2. The candidate must be a registered general surgeon and licensed by the Federal Ministry of Health of Ethiopia or his/her general surgery certificate, if from abroad, shall be licensed as a general surgeon by the FMOH Ethiopia.
3. The candidate must complete and pass the screening process for admission to be undertaken by the department of surgery including entrance examination (both written exam and interview) and Review of applicant Research experience and publication, Leadership experience, Personal goals statement (One-page applicant portfolio) and CV.
4. Applicants must be in acceptable physical and mental health without any serious health conditions that would limit the ability to cope with the requirements of the fellowship training program and service as mentioned on the college legislation.
5. Applicants should not be older than 45 years of age
6. Applicants must have Served at least for two years as a general surgeon
Applicants should write a brief letter of personal statement of goals describing
● Their reason of interest in the fellowship and their expectations.
● Where they would serve as a Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic surgeon and their plans after they complete the fellowship.
Applicants should submit the following documents:
a) Application letter/Personal statement of goals (a one-page portfolio)
b) Updated CV
c) Copy of all credentials: degrees/student copy/
d) Two letters of recommendations preferably sent directly via emails from the recommending person to the emails listed below (one recommendation from the institute where the candidate is currently working and one from former mentors during surgical residency training).
e) Letter of sponsorship from sponsoring institution (not applicable for private/self-sponsoring applicants).
