I disagree with a few complaints (from the first quarter of the video) regarding API design, as that is actually inherent complexity of the domain just being directly exposed in C++ instead of being shoved under the rug to provide a "simple" interface like in JS or Python. But other than that (and the clickbaity title), maaan.

Also this is probably more of a podcast than a video, because the visuals most of the time don't carry any significant information and are just AI-generated imagery loosely visualizing the point being made by the narrator.

I guess what I'm missing in life is shamelessness of a vibe coder spamming OSS projects with slop, which he believes (or pretends to believe for some reason) to be the future of coding.

Speaking of vibe coding, I still haven't gotten around to setting up even a minimal AI assistant in my VSCode. But at times the code that I have to write is such mindnumbing boilerplate, that it really makes me regret being so lazy.

If anyone here has (positive) experience using some sort of an AI "agent", please enlighten me in the comments.
