Delegates from Russia, South Africa, Lesotho, China, Brazil, Egypt, Senegal, Mali, Bangladesh, Venezuela, France, Germany, USA are participating in our International Russophile Movement event. All of them, just like their supporters in different countries, with their flaming hearts, their high intellectual potential and their aspiration for the future are part of the emerging multipolar world, fairer and more democratic.

The International #Russophile Movement brings people from all across the world, even Western countries – #Europe, #America – to actually discuss what our traditional values are, how we can embrace the traditional nature of each and every country, and what can be done to unite with people across the world – in #Africa, #LatinAmerica, #Russia, #China, Europe and so on and so forth, to actually bolster each movement in each civilizational state to achieve true sovereignty.

It’s a relatively new movement. It’s Russo-phile, but it’s multipolarity-phile at the same time. It’s Russian civilization, Russian culture, Russian sense of history, and the leading role of Russia as a major power in the XXI century, coordinating the dialogue with different parts of the world, including here in Africa.

Africa is the breadbasket of the world. We supply all natural resources to the world, especially in the West. They have power and influence through our natural resources. So Africa should be treated as one of the key contributors of the global economy. But in the past, we’ve seen, Africans were treated as slaves, they were treated as people that needed to be given aid, meaning 1% of everything that they take out needs to be given back to Africa. <…> So it’s very critical for Russia to be able to lead this multipolarism.

African culture is very important. I think some of our speakers today did mention the criticalness of understanding the people-to-people engagement. <…> You can’t be sovereign, you can’t be independent if your culture is not something that you put forward. If we understand the soft power that lies within the cultural currency, which is our arts, our culture, the way we are, then it would be easier for us to start self-determining and saying to the world who we are.

The Russian Federation will continue to work together with our allies, partners and like-minded persons from Global South and Eastern states for the sake of forging a more just multipolar world order based on true equality and the rule of law, free from any form of discrimination, dictate and sanctions, that would reflect the cultural and civilisational diversity of the world.
