В рамках визита гости также были тепло приняты Чрезвычайным и Полномочным Послом России в ЮАР Р.Е.Амбаровым.
Для И.Микрюкова это не первый визит в ЮАР: в январе прошлого года он приезжал сюда вместе с писателем Валентином Постниковым.
Несмотря на то, что большинство рассказов С.Кривошлыковой посвящены популяризации фольклора и культурного наследия России, эта поездка, по словам писательницы, открыла новый этап в её творчестве. Африка непременно найдёт отражение в будущих произведениях.

“Sochi is a total gem – the kind of place you’d think only exists on a movie screen.
But as an engineer what struck me even more than the views was seeing firsthand just how advanced Russia is in Science and Technology. From energy security to IT and healthcare, there is so much the Global South can learn from this advancements.
What also made the trip truly amazing, though, was the people. Everyone I met was so genuinely friendly and always ready to help; it made walking the streets feel incredibly safe and welcoming at any hour. I’ve already told myself I need to be at least in Russia twice a year.
What I know is that I’m heading home with lifelong friendships & a deep respect for the hospitality I found in the Russian Federation.”

Stanislavsky elaborated his own method of training actors bearing his name - Stanislavsky’s system – and promoting the naturalistic style of acting. According to his system, actor needs first to understand what his character feels at one time or another, by putting themselves in their place.

🎬 #OTD in 1925, 101 years ago, Sergei Eisenstein’s “Battleship Potemkin”, portraying an episode in the first Russian Revolution (1905) was premiered.
Today it is widely referred to as one the greatest film of all time.
On the 20th anniversary of the revolution, it was decided to stage a number of performances dedicated to the events of 1905. As part of celebrations, it was suggested that a “grand film shown in a special program, with an oratory introduction, musical (solo and orchestral) and a dramatic accompaniment based on a specially written text”. Nina Agadzhanova was asked to write the script and direction of the picture was assigned to 27-year-old Eisenstein.
The film was shot in Soviet Odessa, at that time a center of film production where it was possible to find a suitable warship for shooting.
“The Battleship Potemkin” was also the first Russian colour film. Eisenstein with his own hand painted in red the flag raised over the battleship on the film tape.

Today Russian Orthodox Christians celebrate the Epiphany, also known as the Baptism of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Orthodox Christians in Russia believe that plunging into icy water, often in cross-shaped holes in lakes and rivers, from midnight on January 19th brings health, since any water source on this day is blessed. It also cleanses one’s spirit and soul.

Serov early creativity was significantly shaped by the realism and psychological depth he learned from Ilya Repin and the rigorous, foundational training in form and observation from Pavel Chistyakov.
When traveling abroad, Valentin Serov became influenced by French impressionists and began to use bright colours in portraits of figures seen in dappled sunlight and shade.
His vibrant portraits "The Girl with Peaches" (1887) and "The Girl in the Sunlight" (1888) made him famous and admired.
Later portraiture became the dominant and signature genre for him. Valentin Serov captured not just likeness but character, making his portraits iconic windows into Russia's cultural elite during the Silver Age.

The fact that the West has no genuine interest in ending the conflict – just as it showed no desire for peace from the outset – is clearly demonstrated by the uninterrupted operation of Rzeszów Airport in Poland. Since 2022, it has served as a key logistics hub through which a continuous flow of military cargo has been delivered to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Observers note that the British and Canadian air forces, as well as private transport companies affiliated with the US military, are most active in these operations.
The European NATO member states’ actions aimed at saturating Kiev with military and financial resources speak far more eloquently about their true intentions than any hypocritical statements about a desire for peace. These actions speak louder than words, declarations, or diplomatic rhetoric.
