📍 March 26, 2024, Geneva

🕯️ On March 22, our country was hit by a terrorist attack, the scale and brutality of which Russia hasn’t seen for the past 20 years. 137 people confirmed dead and over 180 injured in the tragic events at the Crocus City Hall. We are grateful to the host country, UN high-ranking officials, fellow diplomats and ordinary Swiss citizens for expressing their sympathies, condolences and condemnation of the attack. As our President has stated, all perpetrators will face fair and inevitable punishment, whoever they may be, whoever directed them.

🗳️ During the recent presidential elections in Russia, the will of over 76 million of its citizens, 87% of whom voted for Vladimir Putin, is evident. We do not care that certain Western states consider the elections unfair - we have the statistics and numbers that say otherwise. The Russian people have expressed their unequivocal support and trust in the political and economic course of the country's development. Which, among other things, means that Russia will continue to uphold its sovereign and independent foreign policy and protect its citizens across all Russia and its new regions.

🇺🇦 The Ukrainian crisis could have been resolved in April 2022, until the Western mentors of Zelenskiy convinced him to pursue a violent path. A big miscalculation, which has already led to unnecessary loss of life, and one that will be the undoing of the Zelenskiy regime.

🇺🇳 As far as UN Geneva affairs are concerned, the current situation within the UN Human Rights Council continues to be especially disturbing. There is an urgent need to prevent the increasing trend of turning the Council into an instrument, which caters to political whims of just a single group of countries, punishing other governments for their independent domestic and foreign policies.

🕯️ Недавний чудовищный теракт в Подмосковье всколыхнул международную Женеву. Мы получили десятки соболезнований не только от дружественных нам дипмиссий, но и от представительств западных стран, с которыми у нас в последнее время фактически не было коммуникации. Ну и, конечно, на многих площадках ООН в ходе заседаний нам выражались сочувствие и солидарность.

❌ При этом нельзя говорить о том, что отношение к нашей стране на фоне трагедии в Crocus City Hall коренным образом поменялось. Недавний пример – инцидент с членом российской делегации, участвовавшей в работе 148-ой Ассамблеи Межпарламентского союза в Женеве. В рамках мероприятия должна была состояться ознакомительная поездка в ЦЕРН членов Рабочей группы по науке и технологиям, в состав которой входит российский сенатор Л.С.Гумерова. Список участников и сроки визита были согласованы ещё в ноябре 2023 г. Однако буквально накануне самой поездки руководство ЦЕРН отказало Л.С.Гумеровой в посещении штаб-квартиры под предлогом того, что она – «представитель России».

❗️ Справедливости ради стоит отметить весьма здравую позицию других членов упомянутой рабочей группы, среди которых немало представителей западных стран. В связи с демаршем руководства ЦЕРН все они в знак солидарности единогласно отказались от визита.

🔎 Синхронная реакция и поспешные выводы отдельных стран «коллективного Запада» относительно организаторов теракта в Crocus City Hall выглядят попыткой «выгородить» своих подопечных в Киеве и «замести» их очевидный след.
 
🇺🇳 Говорить об объективности и непредвзятости докладов Верховного комиссара ООН по правам человека Ф.Тюрка и его Управления пока что не представляется возможным. Они продолжают занимать очевидные прозападные позиции.
 
🇨🇭 Какие-либо конференции по урегулированию кризиса на Украине без участия России бессмысленны и бесперспективны.

❗ Выступление представителя Российской Федерации на 55-й сессии СПЧ ООН в ходе диалога по п.10 повестки дня по ситуации с правами человека на Украине:

📍 2 апреля 2024 г., Женева

❗️ Возмущены ангажированностью УВКПЧ в контексте освещения ситуации на Украине. Вместо предоставления объективной картины, Управление обеляет Киев, перекладывая вину за его преступления на Россию. Игнорируются тысячи страниц переданных нами материалов, в которых задокументированы многочисленные факты украинских нарушений.

🇺🇦 Визитной карточкой Украины стали системная дискриминация национальных, языковых и религиозных меньшинств, насильственные укранизация и дерусификация. Школьникам запрещают разговаривать на родном для них русском языке. Под запретом русская культура. Властями взят курс на уничтожение канонической Украинской православной церкви. Её священников арестовывают, а имущество церкви отнимают.

🤐 Замалчивается жесткая цензура на Украине. Нет реакции на публикацию на сайте «Миротворец» данных потенциальных жертв украинских спецслужб, включая 300 детей. Про тех, кого уже нет в живых, цинично написано, что они «ликвидированы».

❌ УВКПЧ не замечает уничтожение Киевом оппозиции, репрессии и внесудебные расправы, насильственные исчезновения, произвольные задержания, пытки, отмену выборов и узурпацию власти В.Зеленским. УВКПЧ закрывает глаза и на расцвет неонацизма на Украине, прославление пособников Гитлера, воспитание детей в ненависти к представителям других этнических и языковых групп.

👉 Призываем Верховного комиссара и его Управление должным образом реагировать на эти и многие другие вопиющие действия киевских властей.

❗ Statement by a Russian representative during the interactive dialogue on the situation of human rights in Ukraine, UNHRC 55th Session:

📍 April 2, 2024, Geneva

❗️ The OHCHR bias regarding the situation of human rights in Ukraine cannot but cause indignation. Instead of providing an objective picture, the Office whitewashes Kiev, shifting the blame for its crimes onto Russia. The thousands of pages of materials we have submitted, documenting numerous Ukrainian violations, are being ignored.

🇺🇦 Systemic discrimination against national, linguistic and religious minorities, forced Ukrainization and de-Russification have become Ukraine’s calling card. Schoolchildren are prohibited from speaking in their native Russian language. Russian culture is being banned. The Ukrainian authorities are gradually destroying the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church, arresting its priests and confiscating the Church's property.

🤐 Harsh censorship in Ukraine is being silenced. There is still no reaction to the "Mirotvorets" website, which publishes data on potential victims of the Ukrainian special services, including 300 children. The website cynically refers to those already deceased as “eliminated".

❌ The OHCHR fails to notice Kiev’s total ban on any opposition, repressions and extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detentions, torture, cancellation of elections and usurpation of power by Zelenskiy. The OHCHR turns a blind eye to the rise of neo-Nazism in Ukraine, glorification of Hitler's accomplices in the country, as well as education of children in hatred towards members of other ethnic and language groups.

👉 We call on the High Commissioner and his Office to give a proper response to these and many other revolting actions of the Kiev authorities.

❗️ Вынуждены воспользоваться «правом на ответ» в связи с выступлением представителей США, Великобритании, ЕС, Германии, Франции и других европейских государств, цинизм которых поражает. Именно при их попустительстве, а порой и по прямому наущению, В.Зеленский уничтожил в стране оппозицию и независимые СМИ, устроил в буквальном смысле охоту на гражданских активистов, подверг жесточайшим репрессиям русскоязычное население.

▪️ В зоне особого риска находятся журналисты. Их на Украине жестоко избивают, арестовывают и пытают, взрывают, в них стреляют у собственного дома. Среди известных примеров таких расправ можно назвать убийства Ольги Мороз, Олеся Бузины и Павла Шеремета. В 2022 г. от рук украинских военных погибли российские журналисты Сергей Постнов, Олег Клоков, Алексей Ильяшевич.

▪️ В Запорожской области в июле 2023 г. в результате обстрела гражданской машины погиб корреспондент Ростислав Журавлев, в ноябре того же года украинский беспилотник нанес удар по группе российских журналистов, погиб Борис Максудов. В августе 2022 г. в результате подрыва автомобиля погибла журналистка Дарья Дугина, а в апреле 2023 г. в многолюдном кафе украинскими спецслужбами взорван журналист Владлен Татарский. Официальный Киев открыто бравирует своей причастностью к совершению этих терактов.

▪️ На все эти преступления Киева его западные кураторы намеренно закрывают глаза. Верхом цинизма стало молчание Вашингтона после гибели в январе этого года в застенках Службы безопасности Украины американского журналиста Гонсало Лиры.

❗️ We are compelled to use our “right to reply” in response to the statements made by representatives of the US, the UK, the EU, Germany, France and other European countries, whose cynicism is baffling. It is under their indulgence, and sometimes direct incitement, that Zelenskiy has completely destroyed opposition and independent media in Ukraine, orchestrated a literal hunt for civil activists and subjected the Russian-speaking population to severe repressions.

▪️ Journalists in Ukraine are especially at risk. They face harsh beatings, arrests, torture and assassinations. Notable examples of such brutalities include the murders of Olga Moroz, Oles Buzina and Pavel Sheremet. In 2022, Russian journalists Sergey Postnov, Oleg Klokov and Alexey Ilyashevich were killed by the Ukrainian military.

▪️ In July 2023, in the Zaporozhye region, a civilian car was shelled resulting in the death of correspondent Rostislav Zhuravlev. In November of 2023, a Ukrainian drone struck a group of Russian journalists, killing Boris Maksudov. In August 2022, journalist Daria Dugina died in a car bomb attack, and in April 2023, journalist Vladlen Tatarskiy was assasinated by Ukrainian special services in a crowded café. Official Kiev openly boasts its involvement in these acts of terrorism.

▪️ Kiev's Western patrons deliberately turn a blind eye to all these crimes. Washington's total silence following the death of an American journalist Gonzalo Lira in Ukrainian prison is the pinnacle of cynicism.

📍 April 4, 2024

🇺🇸 75 years ago, on April 4, 1949, the North Atlantic Treaty was signed in Washington, marking the creation of the most aggressive military alliance in modern history. The US-led "collective West" was preparing for a new conflict just 4 years after the end of World War II, for a bloc confrontation with an alternative center of power and sovereign development - the USSR.

🌐 From a standpoint of the politicians of that time, NATO was supposed to become the key instrument for establishing and maintaining hegemony of Washington and its allies around the world. This goal is still being pursued. Neither the end of the Cold War, nor the dissolution of the USSR and the Warsaw Pact Organization changed the alliance's objectives.

❗️ The concept of NATO's existence, as articulated by its first Secretary General Lord Ismay – "to keep the Russians out, the Americans in, and the Germans down" – remains relevant. For the US, NATO has been and remains the main tool for controlling its European allies, a resource base for the American military-industrial complex.

🔥 After the end of the "Cold War", NATO was searching for a "new purpose" and new objectives. It entered an era of major operations. Washington and its allies engaged in violent "peacekeeping" in the Balkans, culminating in the treacherous aggression against Yugoslavia, "fighting terrorism" in Afghanistan. NATO countries joined the US-led coalition in Iraq, conducted a "humanitarian" intervention in Libya. The outcomes were all the same – devastated, disintegrated states, vast territories left without any governance, poverty, exacerbation of humanitarian problems, mass human casualties, millions of migrants.

❌ Russia’s initiatives to reduce military-political tensions, to form a fair security architecture based on its indivisibility, refraining from provocative actions – they were all met with nothing but silence from NATO.
