Khalid al-Batarfi had a $5mn bounty on his head from Washington over leading the group.

Al-Qaeda released a video showing al-Batarfi wrapped in a white funeral shroud and the militia’s black-and-white flag late Sunday.

The group offered no details on the cause of his death and there was no clear sign of trauma visible on his face. Al-Batarfi was believed to be in his early 40s.

The Hungarian PM stated that Trump has “quite detailed plans” to end the war in Ukraine and he will not give Kiev a “single penny,” following their meeting in the US.

📣 JUST IN: Group of Russian Warships Arrive in Iran for Joint Naval Drills - Interfax

China will also take part in the military exercises with Russia and Iran - which are due to begin Tuesday.

The drills will take place in the waters of the Gulf of Oman and their main goal is the security of maritime economic activity, Russia’s MoD said.

Representatives from Oman, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and South Africa will also be present at the drills, as per Iranian media.

⚠️ US Dept of Defense Establishes ‘Mine to Magnet’ Supply Chain for 17 Rare Earth Materials

Since 2020, the DOD has awarded more than $439mn to establish domestic rare earth element supply chains - to manufacture the permanent magnets used in important US military weapons systems.  

Magnets produced from rare earth elements are used in systems such as F-35s, nuclear submarines, Tomahawk missiles, a variety of radar systems, Predator UAVs and the Joint Direct Attack Munition series of smart bombs.

“The US can no longer afford to rely on overseas, single-points-of-failure for critical components," a DOD spox said.
