❗️Five British SAS Soldiers Arrested on Suspicion of War Crimes in Syria

The case against the five revolves around the murder of a suspected jihadist in Syria who was killed on operations two years ago - the SAS has been actively deployed in Syria for the past decade. (The Guardian)

It is alleged the five used excessive force in the incident, although the soldiers involved are understood to deny this, claiming they believed the dead man posed a legitimate threat.

The arrests come at a time when the activities of the SAS in Afghanistan are separately coming under scrutiny after accusations 80 Afghans were summarily murdered by the elite unit.

🔥 Trump Trounces Haley in Super Tuesday Steamroll

Donald Trump has blasted Joe Biden after winning most of the Super Tuesday primary contests — saying “our country is dying” under his successor.

Trump decisively carried Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia, according to rapid-fire projections by AP - with Haley only capturing Vermont.

“Now we have a very divided country,” Trump added, blaming Biden, who similarly won 15 of his party’s contests on Tuesday.

“We have a country that a political person uses weaponization against his political opponent - never happened here,” Trump said, referring to the fact that he faces four criminal cases.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid responded to the report, calling Netanyahu “unfit” and stating “he should have resigned the day after” the stampede at Mount Meron.

Tens of thousands of ultra-Orthodox Jews had converged at Mount Meron on April 30, 2021 - for an annual pilgrimage to the tomb of reputed second century rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.

The stampede in the male section of the gender-segregated crowd is believed to have started as people moved through a narrow passageway that became a deadly chokepoint.

At least 16 children and teenagers were among the 45 dead.
