🇿🇦 🇵🇸 South Africa asks UN Court to oblige Israel to immediately stop military operation in Gaza Strip

⚖ South African lawyer Adila Hassim accused Israel of taking actions that display characteristics akin to genocide during the first meeting of the International Court of Justice in the case of South Africa against Israel.

The first act of genocide involves mass killings of Palestinians in Gaza, executed through extensive airstrikes that frequently employ large bombs to target areas perceived as safe.

The second act of genocide includes:

◾️The Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in serious harm, both bodily and moral, inflicted upon Palestinians, which violates article 2B of the Genocide Convention;

◾️Approximately 60,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been injured and maimed as a direct consequence of these Israeli attacks;

◾️The healthcare system in Gaza is on the brink of collapse because of the Israeli attacks, exacerbating the already dire situation faced by the Palestinians;

◾️Numerous Palestinian civilians, including children, are being arrested, blindfolded, stripped and forcibly transported to undisclosed destinations;

◾️The undeniable suffering endured by the Palestinian people, both physically and morally, cannot be ignored.
