The Biden admin has reportedly sent messages to the Houthi rebels in Yemen via several channels recently - warning them to stop their attacks on ships in the Red Sea and against Israel.

Washington is also expected to announce later Friday a special upgraded multinational task force that will start operating in the Red Sea to deter the Houthis from further attacks and counter them.

An evening rush-hour accident on the Beijing metro left 102 people with fractures after a rear-end collision on an above-ground section of tracks, as per Chinese state media Friday.

A preliminary investigation into the incident found the snowy weather had caused slippery tracks and a "signal degradation", resulting in a rear-end collision, CCTV reported.
