Die schweren Gewaltstraftaten machten 2020 insgesamt 3,6% aller Gewaltstraftaten aus (2019: 3,4%). Darunter fallen Tötungsdelikte (47 vollendet/206 versucht), schwere Körperverletzung (669 Straftaten), Vergewaltigung (713 Straftaten) und Raub mit qualifizierter Einwirkung auf das Opfer (Art. 140 Ziff. 4 StGB) (30 Straftaten). 9,5% der Tötungsdelikte (inkl. Versuche) und 0,7% der schweren Körperverletzungen wurden mit einer Schusswaffe verübt.
2020 wurden 8712 Widerhandlungen gegen die sexuelle Integrität registriert, was gegenüber dem Vorjahr einer Zunahme entspricht (+523 Straftaten, +6,4%).
Diese ergibt sich hauptsächlich aus dem Anstieg der Straftaten Pornografie (+214 Straftaten, +7,5%), sexuelle Belästigung (+192 Straftaten, +15,4%), sexuelle Handlung mit Kindern (+94 Straftaten, +8,1%), sexuelle Nötigung (+57 Straftaten, +9,1%) und Vergewaltigung (+34 Straftaten, +5,0%). Ein Rückgang zeigt sich vor allem bei der illegalen Ausübung der Prostitution (–106 Straftaten, –14,6%).

Von den berücksichtigten Ländern hat Frankreich mit 1,88 Kindern pro Frau die höchste Geburtenziffer, was immer noch unter der Marke von 2,1 Geburten pro Frau ist, die für den Generationenerhalt nötig wäre. Am anderen Ende des Spektrums liegen Italien und Spanien, wo pro Frau durchschnittlich 1,29 bzw. 1,26 Kinder geboren werden.
