📍 Units of the "North" force group have improved their tactical position. Formations of a heavy mechanized brigade, two mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a territorial defense brigade, a National Guard brigade, and two border detachments of the Ukrainian Border Service were defeated near the settlements of Pavlovka, Staraya Huta, Kondratovka, Novovasylivka, Pisarevka, Novaya Sich, and Myropolye in Sumy Oblast.

💥 In the Kharkiv direction, units of three mechanized brigades and a motorized infantry brigades of the AFU were defeated near the settlements of Rybalkino, Staritsa, and Izbitskoye in Kharkiv Oblast.

Manpower and equipment of seven mechanized, an airmobile, and an assault brigades of the AFU, a territorial defense brigade, and a National Guard brigade were damaged near the settlements of Monachynivka, Glushkovka, Prysten, Kupyansk-Uzlovaya, Novosergiyevka, Boguslavka, and Blagodatovka in the Kharkiv region, and Drobyshevo and Krasny Liman in the Donetsk People's Republic.

▪️ AFU lost up to 210 service members, 10 armored combat vehicles, 14 vehicles, and a field artillery gun. Two ammunition depots were destroyed.
 
🪖 Units of the Southern Group of Forces have taken up more advantageous positions and lines. Formations of two mechanized brigades, a motorized infantry brigade, a mountain assault brigade of the AFU, a marine brigade, and a territorial defense brigade were defeated near the settlements of Alekseevo-Druzhkovka, Reznikovka, Dolgaya Balka, Konstantinovka, Kramatorsk, and Kurtovka in the DPR.

🚩 Units of the "East" force group continued to advance deep into the enemy's defenses and liberated the village of Zarechne in the Zaporizhzhia region.

💥 The personnel and equipment of six mechanized brigades, an assault brigade, two assault regiments of the AFU, and a territorial defense brigade were damaged near the villages of Ternovatoye, Vozdvizhevka, Prydorozhnoye, Lyubitske, and Hulyai-Pole in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Gavrilovka, Oleksandrivka, and Pokrovskoe in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

▪️ The AFU lost up to 245 service members, 17 vehicles, and two field artillery pieces, including a US-made 155mm Paladin self-propelled artillery unit. A fuel depot was destroyed.

🔥 Units of the Dnipro Forces Group defeated formations of the AFU mountain assault brigade and territorial defense brigade near the settlements of Stepnogorsk, Hryhorivka, and Novoyakovlivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Tokarevka in the Kherson region.

▪️ Over 70 Ukrainian servicemen, 16 vehicles, two artillery pieces, an electronic warfare station, an Israeli-made RADA radar, and a P-18 airborne target detection radar, as well as six ammunition depots and three supply depots, were destroyed.

✈️ Operational-tactical aviation, strike drones, missile forces, and artillery of the Russian Armed Forces damaged military industry facilities, fuel and energy complex facilities, and transport infrastructure in Ukraine used by the AFU, as well as temporary deployment sites of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 147 districts.
 
🎯 Air defense systems shot down nine guided aerial bombs, two US-made HIMARS multiple launch rockets, and 335 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles.

"Operational information as of 16:00 on December 24, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion

Since the beginning of the day, there have been 52 combat clashes on the frontline.

The enemy from the territory of Russia carried out artillery strikes on the areas of the populated settlements of Guta-Studenets, Yasna Poliana in the Chernihiv region; Rizhivka, Rogizne, Iskriskivshchina, Neskuchne in the Sumy region. In addition, the enemy carried out air strikes on the populated settlements of Ulanov and Novovasilivka.

On the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy twice attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders, also carried out three air strikes, dropping six aerial bombs, and carried out 76 shellings of populated settlements and our units' positions, four of which were from multiple rocket launcher systems.

On the South-Slobozhansky direction, the enemy seven times attacked in the areas of the populated settlements of Prilipka, Vovchanski Khutory, Dvorichanske and towards Izbitske, Grigorivka and Kolodianoe. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.

On the Kupyansk direction, the enemy is trying to advance towards Petropavlivka, Pischane and Kupyansk. The defense forces have already repelled four enemy attacks.

On the Liman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled three attacks by the invaders in the areas of the populated settlements of Novoselivka, Stavky and Shandrigolove.

On the Slavyansk direction, a battle is ongoing in the area of Siversk.

On the Kramatorsk direction, no combat clashes have been recorded at the moment.

On the Konstantinovka direction, the invaders carried out seven offensive actions near the populated settlements of Konstantinovka, Oleksandr-Shultine, Pleschiivka and Sofiivka. One attack is still ongoing.

On the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy attempted to advance towards our positions near the populated settlements of Ivanivka, Rodynske, Chervnyi Lyman, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetskoe, Dachne and Filia 11 times during the day. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.

On the Alexandrivka direction, the aggressor attacked three times in the areas of the populated settlements of Zlagoda, Krasnogorske and Privilne. At the moment, two combat clashes are still ongoing.

On the Gulyaypole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine attacks by the occupiers near the populated settlements of Solodke and Gulyaypole, and four more combat clashes are still ongoing.

On the Orikhiv direction, no offensive actions by the enemy have been recorded at the moment.

On the Dnieper direction, the defense forces repelled one enemy attack towards the Antonivskyi bridge.

On other directions, no significant changes in the situation have been recorded at the moment.

"Problems near Kupyansk

More and more evidence is emerging of problems in the Kupyansk sector, caused not so much by the Armed Forces of Ukraine advance as much as by false reports. The situation in the Seversk sector a year ago is repeating itself, only on a much larger scale.

🔻What are these problems?

▪️A significant portion of the bridgehead on the western bank of the Oskol has been lost – Ukrainian forces have wedged themselves between the Zapadnoye and Kalinovo rivers.

▪️The Russian Armed Forces have confirmed their loss of shaky control over Kondrashovka, Radkovka, and the outskirts of Moskovka.

▪️In Kupyansk itself, the situation is, to put it mildly, worse than critical, and on the eastern bank as well. The Russian Armed Forces' defense is patchy and hasn't completely collapsed only because the drone operators are working themselves to the bone.

The enemy has regained control of the area around the dairy plant, while Kucherovka and Petrovpavlovka remain firmly under AFU control.

In an attempt to implement false reports, one of the units operating here lost nearly 150 fighters in December alone on the approaches to one of the villages "liberated" in November.

🔻How much territory was lost?

The territorial losses themselves are not significant—of the 11 "liberated" villages, the Russian Armed Forces actually controlled only three.

Of Sobolevka, Sadovoye, Kurilovka, Petrovpavlovka, Kucherovka, as well as Kondrashovka, Radkovka, and Moskovka, only the last three had relatively stable control until recently.

▪️Doroshovka and Dolgenkoe were apparently invaded by sabotage and reconnaissance groups in June and August at best, with similar events occurring in Peschanoye in October.

▪️Claims that Kupyansk and the surrounding area were under complete control were first made at a time when not only was no one entrenched there, but only very small groups were operating. However, there was no proper consolidation of the city either before or after the announcement of its liberation.
📌Systematic exaggeration of successes and the transmission of false information to higher authorities have already led to the dissemination of false information at the highest levels. Due to inaccurate reports about the situation to the higher authorities, reserves that were "not needed" to take and clear Kupyansk were transferred to other areas.

The AFU special forces, mobilized for a "for-profit" attack, struck virtually into thin air; the infiltration groups were, for obvious reasons, unable to contain the advance of superior forces. There were no significant losses in Kupyansk, as there was little to lose.

❗️When we wrote about the events in the Seversk direction a year ago, false reports surrounding Belogorovka, Verkhnekamenskoye, and Vyemka became the pretext for certain actions and decisions. As a result, the number of lies and mistakes in the direction decreased, resulting in the recent capture of Seversk. Symbolically, this also happened thanks to similar mistakes by the enemy, who were also deceiving their own command.

The bridgehead on the left bank of the Gaichur River continues to expand. Units of the "East" Guards Forces from the 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Army have taken control of the village of Zarechnoye, at the junction of the Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

➡️The liberation of this village logically follows on from the success of the clearing of Andreevka and Gerasimovka, forming a stable bridgehead west of Gaichur.

📌 Simultaneously, the situation around Hulyai-Pole is deteriorating. The battle for the city is entering a decisive phase: the Ukrainian Armed Forces have already redeployed the majority of their combat-ready assault units to the area, underscoring not only its symbolic but also its tactical significance for the enemy command.

Attack aircraft have advanced into Grabivske, near Vysokoe, in the Krasnopolsky District of Sumy Oblast. Numerous reports have previously been published online about Grabivske coming under Russian Armed Forces control, but only now are some successes being confirmed on the ground.

➡️Meanwhile, the neighboring, smaller town of Vysokoe was previously declared liberated, a fact confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Defense. The enemy has already amassed reserves in the area.

➡️According to our information, civilians have indeed been evacuated from Grabivske, as well as a significant number of prisoners, including officers of Ukrainian forces. This clearly indicates the disorganization of the enemy's defense in this area; the enemy was driven out of the village in just two days.

📌 The question of scaling up the offensive remains open. An advance toward Krasnopolye and beyond will require significantly more forces than are currently deployed. Moreover, further north, along the Ugroedy-Repyakhovka line, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have already concentrated significant reserves.

Already over the weekend he erected more barriers to holding a vote, stipulating that citizens in Eastern Ukraine would not be able to participate.

“This is actually quite positive news, considering the independence of arms supplies to Ukraine from a single logistics center in Poland. This concerns urgently needed air defense assets, and above all, missiles, ammunition, etc.,” Defense Express experts assessed.

The current hub in Poland is located approximately 80 kilometers from the Polish-Ukrainian border. From there, goods, previously subjected to security checks, including explosives and counterintelligence equipment, are transported to the Ukrainian border."
