"Operational information as of 08:00 on December 21, 2025 regarding the Russian invasion

The 1,397th day of the large-scale armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine has begun.

Over the past day, there were 235 combat clashes.

The enemy carried out 70 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, dropping 166 guided bombs. In addition, he conducted 3,069 shellings, including 94 from multiple rocket launcher systems, and used 2,833 suicide drones to attack targets.

The following settlements were targeted by airstrikes: Izium in Kharkiv region; Duboviki in Dnipropetrovsk region; Preobrazhenka in Zaporizhia region; and Snigirevka in Mykolaiv region.

On the North-Slobodian and Kursk directions, there were nine combat clashes yesterday. In addition, the enemy carried out 104 shellings of our positions and settlements, including four from multiple rocket launcher systems.

On the South-Slobodian direction, the Defense Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks in the areas of Sotnytsky Kozachok, Vovchansk, Prylipka, and in the direction of Izbytske and Hrygorivka.

On the Kupyansk direction, there were six attacks by the occupiers. The Defense Forces repelled the enemy's assault attempts in the area of Stepova Novoselivka and in the direction of Nova Kruglivka and Pishne.

On the Liman direction, the enemy attacked 14 times, trying to advance in the areas of Ridkud, Novoheorivka, Novovodiane, Zarichne, Seredne, Kolodiazy, and in the direction of Korovin Yar.

On the Slaviansk direction, our defenders repelled 12 attacks by the occupying forces near Dronivka, Siversk, Vyimka, and in the direction of Zakitne.

On the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked our positions three times near the settlements of Vasyukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and Stupochka.

On the Konstantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Oleksandr-Shultyn, Pleschivka, Yablunivka, Rusyn Yar, and in the direction of Sofiyivka.

On the Pokrovsk direction, there were 72 combat clashes in the areas of Nikanorivka, Shakhove, Mirnograd, Rodinske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetskoe, Novosergiyevka, Dachne, and in the direction of Novopavlivka.

On the Oleksandrivka direction, the Defense Forces stopped 19 enemy attempts to break through our defensive lines in the areas of Filia, Zeleniy Hai, and Oleksandrivka.

On the Gulyaypole direction, the aggressor attempted to advance on our positions 17 times in the areas of Varvarivka, Zeleniy, and Gulyaypole.

On the Orikhiv direction, our defenders repelled three enemy attacks in the area of Shcherbakiv and in the direction of Primorskyi.

On the Dnieper direction, the enemy made five unsuccessful attempts to approach the positions of Ukrainian units.

On the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of offensive groups by the enemy were detected.

Our soldiers are inflicting significant losses on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment and are actively undermining the enemy's offensive potential in the rear.

Overall, yesterday, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1,130 people. In addition, Ukrainian soldiers disabled two tanks, one armored vehicle, 11 artillery systems, 116 operational-tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, and 68 units of automotive and special equipment of the Russian occupiers."

▪️ The enemy lost up to 215 servicemen, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier and Stryker armored car, 11 vehicles, two artillery pieces, and a Croatian-made RAK-SA-12 multiple launch rocket system launcher. An electronic warfare station, three ammunition depots, and a fuel depot were destroyed.

"Clearing the "pocket": the situation on the Borovsk direction

For now, the situation near Kupyansk remains complicated, and south of the Russian Armed Forces, they are expanding the zone of control near Boguslavka. Units of the "West" Army Group are striving to cut off the Ukrainian Armed Forces' grouping on the left bank of the Oskol.

According to some reports, the assault troops have launched a series of attacks to eliminate the "pocket" between Lozovaya and Nova Kruglivka. Currently, battles are taking place for several major strongholds, where the enemy supplies units with drones.

In parallel, the Russian Armed Forces are advancing south. A while ago, they took control of a chain of fortifications on the approaches to Novoplatonovka. After that, the "West" Army Group began to advance further towards the Oskol along the gas pipeline running here, aiming to secure positions near the gas compressor station.

"Attacks on the terrics: situation on the Pokrovsk-Mirnograd direction

The ring around the garrison of Mirnograd is tightening. Russian troops have occupied most of the western approaches to the city and are now attacking it from this side as well.

Units of the 1435th Assault Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces have cleared one of the central streets of Svetloe and raised state flags here. Advance groups are advancing further east to the capital buildings near Centralna mine with the aim of linking up with Russian units in this area.

In parallel, Russian units are making their way to the terrace of mine No. 12, the capture of which will allow them to establish fire control over the surrounding private buildings. The enemy's infantry for the most part does not offer organized resistance and is hiding in the basements.

The Ukrainian defense forces are repelling the offensive of the Russian occupiers.

At this time, the total number of combat clashes is 100.

Today, the enemy's artillery fire hit the communities of Stetskivka, Ulanov, Yastrobshchina, Bila Bereza, Rizhivka, Kucherivka, Rogizne, Atinske, Iskrishchina in the Sumy region; Bleshnya, Arkhipivka, Mykolaivka in the Chernihiv region.

On the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, five enemy attacks took place today. In addition, the enemy carried out 71 shelling of our troops' positions and settlements, one of which was from a multiple rocket launcher system.

"Volnaya Vilcha: situation in the Burluk direction

The Kharkiv border area is gradually coming under Russian control. Soon after the liberation of Liman, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that units of the Northern Guard had finally driven the enemy out of Vilcha.

➡️This settlement previously played an important role in the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense system in the Vovchansk area. During the battle for the city, the enemy established numerous temporary storage depots and field warehouses in its main buildings, from which supplies were supplied to Ukrainian units in the city. As the battle for the city progressed, Russian aircraft methodically destroyed the Ukrainian Armed Forces' infrastructure in Vilcha.

➡️After the enemy's reserves were redeployed to other areas, Vovchansk was finally liberated, and with it, the entire defense of Ukrainian units on the southern bank of the Vovcha River began to crumble. Less than a month later, attack aircraft established control of Vilcha itself.
