"The Road to Varvarovka: liberation of Rovnopolye and advance to the R-85 highway

Not even a day passed before another positive news came from the East Zaporizhzhia direction. Russian units pushed the enemy out of Rovnopolye north of the previously liberated Yablokovo and raised state flags in several parts of the village.

The assault by the 114th Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 127th Division of the 5th Army of the Guards “Vostok” was supported by UAV operators and artillery. This allowed isolating the Ukrainian formations in the settlement from supplies and reserves.

📌 Currently, the advanced units of the 114th regiment are continuing their attacks further west towards Varvarovka, where a still partially operational supply route for the garrison of Huliaipole runs along the R-85 highway.

"Operational information as of 16:00 on 17.11.2025 regarding the Russian invasion

Since the beginning of this day, there have been 81 combat engagements.

Today, communities of border settlements were affected by enemy artillery fire, including Malushyne, Stara Huta, Bobylivka in the Sumy region; Khrinivka, Klyusy in the Chernihiv region.

In the North-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, seven combat engagements with enemy forces have occurred since the start of the day. Additionally, the enemy carried out three airstrikes, dropped eight guided bombs, and conducted 61 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements.

In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks near Vovchansk and towards the settlement of Dvorichanske. Two more combat engagements are ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian occupiers tried three times to break through our defense in the areas of Pishchane and Stepova Novoselivka settlements. Two combat engagements are still ongoing.

In the Lyman direction, the invading army launched six attacks towards the positions of Ukrainian units near the settlements of Novyi Myr, Zarichne, and Drobysheve. Three combat engagements continue.

"Collapse of the front near Gulyaipole

The "Vostok" troop group is advancing on a broad front, pushing forward on several sectors in the Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Assault units of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 29th Army have liberated the settlement of Hai. Russian flags have been raised there, and the attacks are developing further to the north and west.

🔻Where else are there successes?

▪️On the sector eastward, fighters of the "Vostok" group are advancing north from Volchyi towards Tykhe. Several forest belts have come under control.

▪️South of Danylivka, the enemy has been pushed out of several forest belts on the approaches to Nechaivka, Radostne, and Novoe Zaporizhzhia. The offensive continues there as well.

📌Almost the entire East Zaporizhzhia direction is moving, and the situation for the enemy is rapidly deteriorating. As we predicted, Ukrainian formations are trying to build a defense along the Haichur river.

In the north of the special military operation zone, Russian units have liberated another settlement and advanced in Volchansk.

🔻Where is the “North” advancing?

▪️Dvurechanskoye has been liberated, fighters of the 9th regiment of the 18th motorized rifle division raised the Russian flag in the center of the village.

"Seversk Encirclement

Russian forces are advancing on the Seversk direction, with the Russian Ministry of Defense announcing the liberation of Platonovka. If confirmed, this will mark the beginning of a countdown for the enemy forces in Seversk.

This information has not yet been confirmed by objective control footage, but the extensive work on mistakes carried out in this direction (and in the "South" troop grouping in general) allows for cautious optimism on this matter.

🔻On the partial encirclement of Seversk:

▪️If the liberation of Platonovka is confirmed, Russian units will physically cut off the road Zakotnoye-Seversk.

▪️Earlier, this road from Lyman to Seversk was already cut off by neighbors on the Lyman direction, and in fact, supplies along it were already absent.

▪️With the consolidation in Platonovka, Russian drone operators will find it easier to strike the supply routes of Ukrainian formations through Reznikovka.

▪️The situation on the approaches to Seversk is also worsening for the enemy. Russian assault troops have driven Ukrainian formations from strongpoints southwest of Serebryanka.

▪️Heavy fighting continues near Zvanovka. The enemy is putting up fierce resistance here because with the liberation of this settlement, Russian units will bring the last remaining asphalt road to Seversk under fire control through Reznikovka and Svyato-Pokrovsk.

📌Ukrainian formations will undoubtedly try to defend Seversk as long as possible, sending reinforcements there. However, even with the current configuration of control zones, the roads to the city are subject to systematic strikes.

Holding Seversk for a long time, "hanging" on drone supplies from the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is unlikely, since the city with industrial zones and a "non-independent" population of over 14 thousand people (11 thousand in 2021) is still not a remote dugout deep in the rear.
