For several weeks now, the battle for Kupiansk has been ongoing, shrouded from the start in a great many rumors. This is largely due to gaps in information coverage and the lack of objective monitoring personnel.

Even before the active phase of fighting began on the northern approaches to the city, a very telling incident occurred when footage appeared online showing a drone strike on a lone (and—as later found out—lost) Russian Armed Forces soldier. The media blew this up into a full offensive and the "beginning of liberation."

➡️Regarding the current moment, fighting in the city has indeed started, but with nuances. The main one is the "fog of war," which only grows due to official statements that sharply contrast not only with reality but also with coverage of the situation in other directions.

➡️From the same Pokrovsko-Myrnohrad agglomeration, footage providing objective monitoring regularly appears, showing ongoing battles. We will leave interpretation aside, as most OSINT-GEOINT communities "interpret" footage through their own political views, following the principle "wherever the soldier ran furthest and came under fire, that is control".

The invaders' aviation carried out eight strikes, dropping 14 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy conducted 90 shellings of our troops' positions and settlements, including eight from multiple rocket launch systems.

In the South-Slobozhansky direction, the Defense Forces stopped nine enemy attacks in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchansk Khutory, Synelnykove, Tykhe, and towards the settlements of Dvorichanske and Kolodiazne, with five more clashes ongoing.

In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled four out of five enemy attacks towards Petropavlivka and Pishchane. The battle continues.

In the Lyman direction, the invading army launched two attacks on Ukrainian positions near the settlement of Derylove and towards Korovynyi Yar; fighting continues.

In the Sloviansk direction, the Russians tried ten times to advance on our troops' positions in the areas of Yampil, Serebrianka, Dronivka, and Fedorivka. The Defense Forces stopped eight enemy attacks; two clashes are ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our soldiers repelled an enemy offensive near Zaliznyanske.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy tried eight times to break into our defense near Yablunivka, Shcherbynivka, and towards Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian occupiers made 57 attempts to push our soldiers from their positions in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Fedorivka, Nikanorivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zelene, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Kotliarivka, Horikhove, and Filiya. The Defense Forces are holding the pressure and have already repelled 52 attacks.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped five assault actions of enemy troops. The enemy is trying to advance in the areas of Zelenyi Hai, Orestopil, Pryvillia, and Krasnohirsk. Velikomykhailivka was hit by an airstrike.

In the Huliaipole direction, four clashes occurred in the areas of Uspenivka and Novouspenivske.

In the Orikhiv direction, since the beginning of the day, there was one enemy attack – the occupiers tried to advance near Plavni. Enemy aviation struck Orikhiv.

In the Prydniprovske direction, the enemy made one unsuccessful attempt to advance."

Meanwhile, on the East Zaporizhzhia direction, the "Eastern Express" continues to push the front deeper into the Dnipropetrovsk region.

The guards-assault troops of the 36th separate motorized rifle brigade of the 29th army advanced north of Alekseevka, capturing several forest belts. After that, Russian units expelled the enemy from Wolf's Nest, which consists of a single yard.

🖍 However, the liberation of this small settlement allows blocking enemy forces in Orestopil, effectively pinning the active Ukrainian units in the area to the river.

🚩 Earlier, the enemy counterattacked several times, but now the small bridgehead south of the river heavily depends on the crossing group in Orestopil. And not all of these crossings are passable for equipment, especially considering the autumn mud.
