"Some eight NATO allies have prepared operation 'Eastern Sentry' following last week's alleged Russian drone breach of Poland. It is a new joint military mission to bolster defense of Europe's eastern flank, also after Romania had more recently reported a Russian drone incursion, resulting in the scrambling of fighter jets to track it.
"Following the Russian drone incursions into Poland, I have decided to deploy three Rafale fighter jets to contribute to the protection of Polish airspace and of NATO’s Eastern Flank together with our Allies," President Emmanuel Macron announced on X this week. Along with France, the effort includes the UK, Italy, Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Spain, and The Netherlands. More nations are expected to join.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has confirmed that his country will deploy Royal Air Force jets to Poland, while Italy will contribute two Eurofighter jets, and Germany has readied four Eurofighters. Denmark will also sent jets, and Czech Mi-171S helicopters have also arrived in Poland. Over 150 NATO troops have also initially arrived along with the equipment.
Meanwhile, eastern European and Baltic countries are already calling for more, including:
Anti-drone defense systems in NATO countries still need to be developed, Latvia's President Edgars Rinkevics told a press conference on Tuesday.
NATO on Friday launched "Eastern Sentry," a new military mission to bolster defense of Europe's eastern flank in response to Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace last week.
The Washington Post wrote on Monday, "The incident raised serious questions about the alliance’s readiness to counter the relatively cheap, highly maneuverable but devastatingly destructive unmanned aerial vehicles that have redefined modern warfare since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022."
Additionally, in a Monday interview, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski called on NATO countries to impose a no-fly zone over Ukraine.
"We as NATO and the EU could be capable of doing this, but it is not a decision that Poland can make alone; it can only be made with its allies," he said."

"The Western allies continue to bolster defenses of the largest NATO 'eastern flank' country which borders Ukraine, parallel to Russia ramping up its drone and missile attacks across the war-ravaged country.
Poland this week has received 38 new M1A2 Abrams tanks from the United States, marking the largest single delivery so far under a defense agreement signed in 2022. It was the third delivery under the contract.
The delivery brings the total number of American-made tanks delivered to Poland to 85, with more expected through 2026, based on the contract.
(...)
American military magazine Stripes previously wrote:
For the Polish army, the Abrams tank serves as the centerpiece of a modernization effort that has picked up momentum in the aftermath of Russia’s 2022 full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Patriot missiles, Apache attack helicopters, High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems and F-35 fighter jets are other major weapons systems that Warsaw has been busy adding to its arsenal.

The formal reason is pressure from the US on Hungary and Slovakia, which continue to purchase Russian energy resources.
"United States Senator Lindsey Graham has blasted Hungary and Slovakia over their ongoing purchases of Russian energy, warning they'll face "consequences" if they don't end their reliance.
The anti-Russia hawk from South Carolina said on social media that President Trump was "right to demand that Europe stop buying Russian oil." He admitted that while most of Europe has done so, it is "now virtually down to Hungary and Slovakia."
"I hope and expect them to step up to the plate soon to help us end this bloodbath," he said. "If not, consequences should and will follow."

"At a shipyard in Finland last month, workers cut the first steel for a new icebreaker ship. Over the next three years, about 10,000 tons of the metal will go into the hull before the vessel is carried across the ocean to Quebec for completion.
The CCGS Arpatuuq, expected to launch in 2030, will be the first heavy icebreaker built — at least partly — in Canada in more than half a century. The C$3.3 billion ($2.4 billion) ship will be 139 meters (about 450 feet) long, with a helipad, hangar and room for 100 crew members. “Moon pools” located at midship will provide direct access to the Arctic Ocean for polar research and, potentially, military surveillance.
A second heavy icebreaker, the CCGS Imnaryuaq (both are named for Inuit locations) is already under construction at Vancouver’s Seaspan Shipyards. Canada has only a single heavy icebreaker in service at the moment, and it’s in bad shape. In all, the government has funded two dozen new icebreakers to more than double the current fleet."

"Leading Polish outlet Rzeczpospolita reported on Tuesday that investigators determined that the munition which damaged a home last week during Russia’s drone incursion into Poland actually came from an unexploded missile launched by an F-16 that was trying to down the incoming projectiles.
The National Security Bureau claimed that neither it nor President Karol Nawrocki were hitherto informed of these findings by Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s government, which Nawrocki then confirmed.
He represents the conservative-nationalist opposition and pledged ahead of the second round in spring not to approve the dispatch of Polish troops to Ukraine while Tusk represents the ruling liberal-globalist government whose Foreign Minister Radek Sikorski just called for a no-fly zone there. Some therefore speculate that members of the Polish permanent military, intelligence, and diplomatic bureaucracies, or “deep state”, kept Nawrocki out of the loop in order to manipulate him into escalating against Russia."

The black swan events of NATO jamming causing Russian decoy drones to veer into Poland and an F-16 missing one of its attempted interceptions were therefore exploited by them to spark a crisis that might have led to World War III.

Hamas Official Targeted by Israel Appears in 1st Interview Following Qatar Strike
Senior Hamas official Ghazi Hamad, who was one of the targets of the assassination attempt last week in Doha, Qatar, was interviewed by Al Jazeera on Wednesday evening.
"The past nearly two years of war in Gaza, and accompanying conflicts from Lebanon to Iran to Yemen - has seen Israel's air defenses work harder than ever. Recent ballistic missile and drone attacks out of Yemen have meanwhile resulted in at least some missiles getting through, even hitting Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport. Replenishments of Israel's sophisticated anti-air defense layers are extremely expensive as well, which is why starting over a decade ago Tel Aviv began actively developing other means of aerial defense.
The IDF military has just rolled out its new high-powered laser defense system, known as the "Iron Beam". It has passed a final round of testing, announced the defense ministry on Wednesday, and could be ready for active deployment as soon as by close of 2025.
"In these landmark tests, Iron Beam 450 intercepted rockets, mortars, and UAVs with unmatched speed, precision, and near-zero cost per engagement — a breakthrough that sets a new global benchmark in air defense."

"Doubling the Mourning: situation in Lebanon from September 19–22, 2025
Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are intensifying airstrikes on Lebanon, including areas hosting the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). As a result, several civilians have died alongside members of Hezbollah.
🔻More details on the regional situation:
▪️The Israeli aircraft and drones struck En-Nabatiyah, Shehabiya, Ansar, Harouf, Hiyam, Burdj Kalawiya, Al-Bustan, Tibnin, Meis al-Jabal, and Bint al-Jabal.
▪️During the IDF strikes on Burdj Kalawiya, UNIFIL peacekeepers stationed in nearby Deir Kifa were forced to take shelter in bomb shelters. Against this backdrop, the UN condemned the actions of the Israeli authorities, calling for their troops to withdraw from Lebanon.
▪️In several areas, the IDF launched illumination munitions; according to local channels, in the Yaroun area, Israelis deliberately fired an illumination round into the forest to set it on fire.
▪️In the coastal zone, the IDF sank a vessel by airstrike that allegedly belonged to Hezbollah and was used for reconnaissance of Israeli Navy operations.
▪️Following the attacks, the IDF announced the "elimination" of several high-ranking Hezbollah members; at least six civilians were also killed. Lebanese media reported that four of them held American citizenship, but the US representatives do not confirm this information.
🖍Arab media believe the intensification of IDF strikes is linked to Hezbollah's preparations for mourning ceremonies on the anniversary of the deaths of the group's former leader Hassan Nasrallah and senior movement member Hashim Safi al-Din.
📌It is possible that, against this backdrop, the Israelis may also take bolder steps against Hezbollah, including massive strikes on ceremony locations or targeted "eliminations" of the group's leadership, disregarding "collateral damage" among civilians.

"China’s internet regulator has banned the country’s biggest technology companies from buying Nvidia’s artificial intelligence chips, as Beijing steps up efforts to boost its domestic industry and compete with the US.
The Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) told companies, including ByteDance and Alibaba, this week to end their testing and orders of the RTX Pro 6000D, Nvidia’s tailor-made product for the country, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.
(...)
Several companies had indicated they would order tens of thousands of the RTX Pro 6000D, and had started testing and verification work with Nvidia’s server suppliers, the people said.
After receiving the CAC order, the companies told their suppliers to stop the work, the people added.
The ban goes beyond earlier guidance from regulators that focused on the H20, Nvidia’s other China-only chip widely used for AI. It comes after Chinese regulators concluded that domestic chips had attained performance comparable to those of Nvidia’s models used in China."

We previewed earlier that the Typhon, also dubbed 'Mid-Range Capability', is a land-based missile launcher that can fire nuclear-capable Tomahawk missiles, which have a range exceeding 1,000 miles, and SM-6 missiles, which can hit targets up to 290 miles away.
The missile system would have been banned under the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, a treaty with Russia that the US withdrew from in 2019. This has naturally caused immense alarm in Beijing, as has Washington's deepening military relationship with Japan.
According to the latest from The Hill on the new military exercises:
More than 19,000 U.S. and Japanese service members are participating in the exercise by rehearsing crisis response and contingency operations, with a focus on controlling and defending key maritime terrain, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.
Delivered last month to the U.S. base in Iwakuni, the missile system is capable of firing the Standard Missile-6 and the Tomahawk cruise missiles. The missile showcase follows its deployment in the Philippines last year. Russia and China criticized the U.S., accusing the country of fueling an arms race."

"Well, well, well. The Democratic Party's dark-money-funded NGO network - bankrolled by leftist billionaires and even possibly foreign adversaries - is coming under intense scrutiny after a leftist woke warrior assassinated Charlie Kirk one week ago. Assassination culture has been normalized by the Democratic Party, which spews hate and misinformation around the clock, labeling anyone they dislike as a "fascist" or "Nazi."
Scrutiny of dark-money funded NGO networks comes as Marxist revolutionaries from "Armed Queers Salt Lake City" popped onto the radar of federal agents while investigating the political assassination of Kirk. Now, the White House has declared war on radical leftist groups, lawmakers want answers, and an all-of-government approach will likely ramp up shortly to dismantle the revolutionary cells that want to collapse capitalism and the country.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, a Florida Republican, offered much-needed insight into the Marxist revolution being fueled by radical leftist groups, highlighting what appear to be alarming connections with foreign adversaries such as China.
Luna wrote on X:
"Armed Queers SLC" is now under FBI investigation as an extended network related to Charlie's killer.
The founder of Armed Queers SLC is also an organizer for PSL [The People's Forum], which is funded by Neville Singham and the Chinese Communist Party.

China's Regulatory Recalibration: Drops Google Antitrust Probe, Crosshairs Now On Nvidia
"China is dropping an antitrust probe into Google, as Beijing and Washington step up negotiations over TikTok, Nvidia and trade at a time of heightened tensions between the superpowers.
The State Administration for Market Regulation has decided to terminate its competition investigation against Google, a status known as “zhongzhi” in Chinese, said two people briefed on the decision.
The Google investigation, which was formally opened in February, centred on the dominance of the US group’s Android operating system and its impact on Chinese phonemakers, such as Oppo and Xiaomi, that use the software.
The decision signals a tactical recalibration by Beijing, which is now concentrating its regulatory firepower on Nvidia, the world’s most valuable chipmaker, as a point of leverage in US-China trade talks, according to the two people.
At the same time, dropping the Google investigation sends a positive signal to Washington that Beijing can be flexible in the negotiations, said one of the people."

"Earlier this week, at the Australian Financial Review Cyber Summit, cybersecurity expert Alastair MacGibbon highlighted an alarming national security risk posed by millions of China-manufactured connected devices operating across Australia. He warned that particularly internet-connected electric vehicles (EVs) represent new threat vectors for hybrid warfare operations, one in which he said these vehicles could be transformed into "ticking time bombs."
On Tuesday, MacGibbon, former cybersecurity adviser to Liberal Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull and now chief strategy officer at CyberCX, warned, "Those cars that we talk about, whether they're electric or not, are listening devices, and they're surveillance devices in terms of cameras."
But worse, he cautioned, "Take off the safety features of household batteries so that they overcharge. Take off those same safety features for electric vehicles. Just turn them off from the manufacturer so that those vehicles explode. Degrade their ability to drive at peak hour in select cities."
