The 1301st day of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun.

In total, 208 combat clashes were recorded yesterday.

The enemy launched a missile strike with 2 missiles and 69 air strikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements, dropping 130 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out 4795 attacks, 130 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems, and involved 5865 kamikaze drones for destruction.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, on the areas of the settlements of Zaliznychne, Veselyanka, Stepnohirsk, Lukyanivske in Zaporizhia region; Mykolaivka in Kherson region.

Over the past day, the aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces struck an area of ​​concentration of personnel, a command post and an artillery piece of the Russian invaders.

On the Lyman direction, Russian troops, despite regular counterattacks by the enemy, are gradually advancing westward.

Over the past weeks, the Russian Armed Forces have driven the enemy out of the eastern part of the Serebryansky forestry and have also reached the approaches to Yampol.

🔻How the fighting is developing on the front:

▪️On the northern flank, Ukrainian formations are trying to break into the defense of the 144th Motorized Rifle Division along the line Grekovka-Novomykhailivka-Redkodub.

During the combat, the enemy managed to turn the forest massif into a fortified area covering the approaches to Lyman and Seversk. Its loss would be a serious blow to the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense on two operational fronts simultaneously.

❗️However, expecting deep "breakthroughs" and a rapid advance of the Russian Armed Forces towards Lyman is premature. The experience of more than three years of fighting has shown the difficulties of offensive operations in forested terrain dense with fortifications.

The assault on the city can only be carried out with synchronized actions of Russian units across different sectors and even directions, and such an operation may take more than a month.

📌Against the backdrop of fighting for Kupiansk, as well as earlier successes of the “West” group in expanding the bridgehead beyond Oskil, it is possible that more large-scale offensive actions will begin in this area soon.

In recent months, the enemy has redeployed its most combat-ready units to the Sumy region, where they have achieved very limited success. The rest went to Myrnohrad.

Thus, the Ukrainian Armed Forces currently do not have sufficient reserves available in the Kharkiv border area to repel Russian attacks, which the Russian Armed Forces are taking advantage of.
