๐จ NEW: Patrick Byrne Raises Questions About Jack Smithโs DOJ Authority
Following yesterdayโs explosive Capitol Hill hearing, Patrick Byrne revealed details on air about a previously filed whistleblower complaint involving Jack Smith and a potential contradiction tied to Smithโs oath of office.
Byrne said the complaint was formally submitted years ago to multiple inspectors general, including the Justice Dept and intelligence agencies, and was quietly declined based on Smithโs employment status at the time.
โThey said they werenโt opening an investigation because whatever he did overseas, he wasnโt a DOJ employee anymore.โ
But Byrne says that explanation creates a serious legal problem:
โIf thatโs the case, then when he rejoined the DOJ, he should have taken the oath again.โ
Byrne described the situation as forcing Smith into โtwo contradictory positionsโ - one the court canโt ignore.
