🇻🇪 #Venezuela: US forces seized another sanctioned tanker in the Caribbean this morning.

The vessel, identified as the tanker Sophia, was intercepted as part of ongoing US sanctions enforcement operations.

🇺🇸 #US: A woman was killed in Minneapolis during an ICE operation.

The US Department of Homeland Security (@DHSgov on X) said in a statement that “rioters” began blocking ICE officers and that one of these “violent rioters” had “weaponised” her vehicle in an attempt to run over law enforcement personnel.

However, video footage of the incident contradicts ICE's statement, showing the woman turning away from the agents rather than driving towards them. Moments later, as she attempted to leave the area, she was shot multiple times. The woman who was killed was not the target of any "immigration enforcement" investigation.

🇺🇸 #US: A video recorded by bystanders shows the moment an ICE agent blocked a physician from reaching the woman who was shot and killed by federal officers during a large ICE enforcement operation in south Minneapolis.

Witnesses also reported that it took significantly longer than necessary for emergency medical services to reach her due to federal vehicles blocking the street, forcing responders to approach on foot.

🇸🇾 #Syria: Footage aired live by Al Jazeera shows Syrian government forces firing indiscriminately in Aleppo's Kurdish majority neighbourhoods.

Syrian troops have repeatedly tried to storm the areas controlled by the SDF but so far have failed to take full control, instead resorting to heavy shelling and declaring parts of the districts "closed military zones".
