Hello Validators,

We are upgrading the MAINNET!

This version v1.6.7.0 is out 🔥. We call it Sirius.

ℹ️ This version brings the much awaited v1.6.x version of the node that contains 18 major features and over 90 smaller fixes, upgrades and optimizations. The release notes can be found here:

⚠️ While preparing the announcement for this release, a small issue was detected that might cause a slight performance degradation. This is only temporarily as it affects only the processing in the epoch in which the node was upgraded to the v1.6.7 version, during the next epochs following the upgrade, the problem dissapears. The patch for this is still in the works/testing phase and is not available now. Therefore, there are 2 possibilities:

1. upgrade now with the v1.6.7 version - in this case, we recommend doing the upgrade process 1-2 hours before an epoch change
or:
2. wait for the new release v1.6.8 that fixes this (ETA: 2-3 days)

💻Please make sure you upgrade your host's operating system if you are running on older versions of Ubuntu. The recommendation from the official docs is Ubuntu 22.04. Some issues were found on hosts running Ubuntu 18.04 that prevented the correct setup of the new version of the node.
