Yes in 2006, a few days before the ceasefire Israel advanced the most in Lebanon similar to today then halted. But back then, Israel needed the ceasefire, today they don't.

The situation isn't ripe for a ceasefire and Israel isn't tired. They lost 370+ soldiers in Gaza and are still ongoing, the goal there is genocide and changing the future of Gaza.

He was tasked with taking a before and after photo of the building which was being attacked.

This type of tasks has been reported earlier in this war, and most of the recruited are Syrians. Purpose is damage assessment and gathering more intelligence.

They don't usually know the target, they the cheapest type of recruits.

The book is a disappointment because it was rather very small and brief, written in very simple sentences. It's not sophisticated nor does it provide any lesser known secrets or events

However it's an on-point book to who would like to learn about this year in Lebanon, and how the Lebanese civil war in 1958 witnessed the first U.S. military operations in the Middle East

Between the false threat of communism, Gamal Abdul Nassr's rise, and the chaos of instability and coups in this area, the US intervened for the sake of not being seen as doing nothing.

The ironic part is that the intervention was done at the wish and request of Lebanon's Christian President Chamoun, to only be ousted by the U.S. that year.

For once they actually viewed the reality in Lebanon and allowed diplomacy to take course rather then enforce something through military might.
