EU Dismisses Senior Official Henrik Hololei Over Qatar Ethics Scandal

The European Union has dismissed senior official Henrik Hololei following a years-long ethics scandal linked to Qatar. Hololei, who oversaw EU–Qatar aviation negotiations, was found to have accepted repeated high-value trips, flights, and hospitality funded by the Qatari state and Qatar Airways, with some travel reportedly including family members.
