The office of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has announced that Wednesday, January 21, is the first day of the holy month of Sha'ban for the year 1447 AH.

The experts from Imam Khamenei's Office for Sighting the New Moon announced that the sighting of the new moon for the month of Sha'ban was not possible on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Thus, the month of Rajab will have 30 days, and Wednesday, January 21, is the first day of the month of Sha'ban for the year 1447 AH.
