🔰 Imam Khamenei approves the pardoning, reduction, or conversion of sentences for eligible convicts

On the occasion of the Iranian New Year, and during these days before Eid al-Fitr and the anniversary of the people’s vote for the Islamic Republic, Imam Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, has agreed to the request of the Head of the Judiciary for the pardoning, reduction, or conversion of sentences for a number of convicts.

On this occasion, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Ejei, the Head of the Judiciary, addressed a letter to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution requesting permission to pardon, reduce, or convert the sentences of 1,526 people who had been convicted in Public and Revolutionary courts, by the Government Discretionary Punishments Organization, or by the Judicial Organization of the Armed Forces.

The glorious Eid al-Fitr Prayer will be led by Imam Khamenei in the Imam Khomeini (ra) Musallah in Tehran on March 31. 

This program will start at 6:30 am Tehran time (3 am GMT) on Saturday morning, Eid al-Fitr. The Eid prayer and sermons by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution will start at 8 am (5 am GMT). The doors to the Musallah will be open from dawn to all those wishing to join the Eid prayer.

This ceremony will be broadcast live from KHAMENEI.IR and the IRIB radio and television channels.
