A ship carrying container goods is en route from Karachi Port in Pakistan to Chattogram Port in Bangladesh. According to the local agent, Regency Lines Limited, the vessel is expected to reach the waters of Chattogram Port by this Saturday.

A Pakistani cargo ship, MV Yuan Xiang Fa Zhan, docked at Chittagong Port in Bangladesh on November 11, 2024, marking the first direct maritime contact between the two countries since Bangladesh’s independence in 1971.

After decades of strained relations, Pakistan and Bangladesh have taken a significant step towards normalization after the fall of India backed dictator Hasina govt following a mass protest in August this year.
