Masié Nguema Biyogo, dictator of Equatorial Guinea after independence, was the leader of PUNT, the United Sole National Workers' Party (yes, the party name itself admits the authoritarian nature of the government), personally admired Hitler, Franco and North Korea, declaring himself a "hitlerian-marxist".

He once declared "Africa is free thanks to Hitler".

Before becoming dictator, while serving as vice president under colonial administration of Spanish Guinea, he discovered his wife asleep with an white teenager named Conrado, whose family owned a timber business in Río Benito. He interpreted the incident as a “colonialist abuse” and considered legal and property measures against Conrado and his family. It is believed that this event highly influenced his resentment towards Spaniards and caused him deep psychological and sexual issues.
