Girl Becomes Goddess🗞

Hindu priets chose a three-year-old girl as Nepal’s goddess ‘Kumari’. She will now live in a temple to bring good fortune to the country. Many people came together to see her.

Hindu priests always choose a goddess. A girl becomes a goddess for nine years. The current goddess’s name is Trishna.

The girl’s father said that he was very proud, but also a bit emotional. This was a difficult time for him and his family.

Difficult words: temple (a place for a god/gods), fortune (luck, good things), priest (a man who lives only for a god/gods).

5. Nationalgeographic.com

Elon Musk: In Seven Years, SpaceX Could Land Humans on Mars

One year after announcing an intrepid plan that he claimed could put a million people on Mars by the 2060s, Elon Musk is fine-tuning his roadmap for putting humans on the red planet.

In a somewhat disjointed presentation at the International Astronautical Congress in Adelaide, Australia, Musk outlined an edited version of his original scheme. His final vision didn’t change much, but he did highlight revisions to a planned 42-engine rocket Musk has nicknamed the BFR, as well as a vague proposal to pay for that rocket by using it to deliver satellites into orbit and to service the International Space Station.

Tongue Twister

Sounds - / f/

There was a fisherman named Fisher
who fished for some fish in a fissure.
Till a fish with a grin,
pulled the fisherman in.
Now they’re fishing the fissure for Fisher.

Joke about Europe😂

The financial situation in Europe is not easy. But people in Europe still keep their humour and they are making jokes about it. This is one of them.
A Greek man, a Spanish man and a Portuguese man are sitting in a restaurant. They have a good time, they drink, they joke and they laugh with girls. It is a good party. At the end of the party someone asks a question,
“Who is going to pay for all the drinks?”
The three men say in one voice, “The Germans.”

Difficult words: issue (formally send out and make known), royal decree (an order given by a king or queen), gender equality (when men and women can do same things), permission (if you have somebody’s permission to do something, you can do it).
