The key difference though is the USSR never viewed East Germany as its historic land with language & cultural ties... is it totally bonkers to expect the return of said lands based on diplomacy?

The US fears that offering a mutual defence guarantee under Nato treaty’s Article 5 before the war is over would simply draw in the US and its allies in.

Literally the point of the Treaty... Evidently the Ukraine is stuck between a rock and a hard place, with neither side offering concessions.

IMF urges El Salvador to limit the scope of Bitcoin law. 🇸🇻

IMF admits that a key reason why it’s withholding funds from El Salvador is that it doesn’t like Bitcoin and the fact that the government has added it to its national treasury, a currency which has no issuing authority (allegedly meaning nobody controls the supply, unlike the IMF.)

Earlier, the government of El Salvador gave everyone a bit of crypto to encourage them to open crypto wallets & utilize crypto as legal tender.

Speaking of Youtube, it had let me know back in 2018 that we could never be friends - having never received even a "community guidelines" strike.

Despite me doing literally nothing on it for years & algorithms hiding what they can - older videos pertaining to Russian Foreign Policy & Putin's speeches still pull in hundreds of hours of views monthly (from previously, hundreds of thousands daily :/)

Viktor Bout responded to a WSJ article about his involvement in selling weapons to the Houthis.

In a conversation with RBC, Bout called the article a hoax and accused the publication of political bias and ties to the CIA.

In August, according to WSJ sources, Bout met in Moscow with representatives of the Yemeni Houthi movement, who wanted to negotiate the purchase of AK-47 assault rifles for $10 million. As a result, the deal was concluded: it involves the delivery of small arms to Yemen, the publication writes.

“If we look at the title of the article, and it is pointedly called ‘Putin’s arms dealer’, and, naturally, we understand that this leak was specifically timed to coincide with the birthday of our president Vladimir Putin,”

Bout said.

He also noted that
