روز چهارشنبه ۱۰ آبان حکم #اعدام هفت زندانی دیگر که عمدتا با اتهام «قتل عمد» به قصاص نفس (اعدام) محکوم شده بودند، در زندان قزل‌حصار #کرج به اجرا درآمد. پیشتر خبر اعدام دو زندانی، ازجمله یک تبعه کشور افغانستان در این روز در زندان قزل‌حصار اعلام شده بود. با اعدام‌های روز چهارشنبه، برای اولین بار در هفت سال گذشته تعداد اعدام‌های سالانه در ایران از مرز ۶۰۰ تن عبور کرد. این در حالی‌ست که هنوز دو ماه به پایان سال میلادی جاری مانده است.

سازمان حقوق بشر ایران با اشاره به این‌که گذر از مرز ۶۰۰ اعدام تنها در ۱۰ ماه نخست ۲۰۲۳، نسبت به آمار کل سالانه در هشت سال اخیر بی‌سابقه است، از جامعه جهانی می‌خواهد تا اعدام‌های بی‌رویه توسط جمهوری اسلامی را با قوی‌ترین لحن محکوم کند.

محمود امیری‌مقدم، مدیر سازمان حقوق بشر ایران در این خصوص گفت: «جامعه جهانی باید به بیش از ششصد اعدام در ۱۰ ماه، یعنی دو قتل حکومتی در روز، توسط یک دولت عضو سازمان ملل که ریاست مجمع اجتماعی شورای حقوق‌بشر این سازمان را هم بر عهده دارد، واکنش نشان دهد. سکوت به معنای تایید ضمنی این جنایات است».

Leila Khaleghi e Abolfazl Barat Vakili condannati a morte per adulterio

La Quinta Sezione del Tribunale Penale di Teheran ha condannato Leila Khalghi Sakachayi e Abolfazl Barat Vakili all'impiccagione per adulterio. La sezione 12 del Tribunale Penale di Teheran ha condannato a morte anche un'altra donna, Mitra, per le stesse accuse, e l'uomo del caso, Khosro, a fustigazione.
Il sesso al di fuori del matrimonio è criminalizzato dalla Repubblica Islamica e, se una delle parti è sposata, è considerato adulterio e la parte sposata riceve la pena di morte.
Iran Human Rights richiama ancora una volta l'attenzione della comunità internazionale sulle sempre più numerose condanne a morte ed esecuzioni in Iran. Il direttore, Mahmood Amiry-Moghaddam, ha dichiarato: "La comunità internazionale non dovrebbe tollerare che nel XXI secolo vengano eseguite esecuzioni da parte di un governo che ha un seggio alle Nazioni Unite, per sesso consensuale o per l'espressione di una libera opinione ".
"Purtroppo, la mancanza di una risposta adeguata da parte della comunità internazionale alle esecuzioni di un uomo per adulterio e di due uomini con l'accusa di blasfemia, avvenute in primavera, ha incoraggiato le autorità della Repubblica Islamica ad aumentare il numero di queste condanne. Il costo politico di queste esecuzioni può essere aumentato dalle campagne della società civile e dalla pressione politica della comunità internazionale", ha aggiunto il direttore di Iran Human Rights.
Secondo le informazioni ottenute da Iran Human Rights, il 22 agosto 2023 un uomo e una donna sono stati condannati a morte per adulterio dalla Quinta Sezione della Corte penale di Teheran. Le loro identità sono state accertate: si tratta di Leila Khalghi Sakachayi e Abolfazl Barat Vakili, i quali hanno fatto ricorso in appello.
Secondo il verdetto del tribunale ricevuto da Iran Human Rights, le registrazioni segrete girate a loro insaputa sono state usate come prova contro Leila e Abolfazl. Leila è stata arrestata il 1° gennaio 2023 ed è attualmente detenuta nella prigione di Qarchak. Sono stati condannati all'impiccagione per adulterio in base agli articoli 2, 12, 14, 15, 140, 141, 160, 162, 211, 221, 225 e 226 del Codice penale islamico.
Secondo il quotidiano Iran, oltre a Leila Khalghi e Abolfazl Barat Vakili, anche un'altra donna è stata condannata a morte per adulterio dalla Dodicesima Sezione del Tribunale penale di Teheran. Identificata solo come Mitra, anche il marito aveva sporto denuncia contro di lei sulla base di registrazioni video. L'uomo coinvolto nel caso, identificato come Khosrow, ha ricevuto una condanna alla fustigazione.
Lo zena mohsen, ovvero adulterio, è punibile con la lapidazione. L'IPC, il codice penale islamico, ha mantenuto la pena della lapidazione per coloro che sono accusati di adulterio (articolo 225), ma ai tribunali è stata data la possibilità di imporre la condanna a morte con mezzi alternativi, previa approvazione del capo della magistratura "qualora non fosse possibile eseguire la lapidazione".
Secondo la legge zena, su proposta della Corte e con l'approvazione del capo della magistratura, se il reato è provato dalla deposizione di quattro testimoni o dalla confessione dell'accusato per quattro volte, l'imputato sarà condannato alla pena di morte [impiccagione]; altrimenti gli saranno inflitte cento frustate.
La lapidazione, eseguita da un gruppo di persone che lancia pietre contro l'imputato, fino alla sua morte, è considerata crudele e barbara dalla comunità internazionale. L'Iran è uno dei sei Paesi che ancora mantengono la lapidazione nei loro codici penali.
