The secret service director is digging an even deeper hole for herself...
They were aware of the security risk of the building the shooter used, but did not place snipers there because "it is a sloped roof."
Uh, huh.
The roof upon which our snipers were actually located is even steeper.
Heads are gonna roll...

"Designed for Pleasure"
God could have created a world where eating was merely functional. Instead, He created delicious fruits and vegetables... and steak!
Where plants self-fertilized (some do). But instead He gave us flowers, bees, and tiger swallowtails. (I saw several today. They seem so frivolous.)
Where procreation was a mere bodily function... test-tube babies. Instead, He thought of *women* and profound relationships.
(Pausing to say, "Whoa.")
Where the night sky was black. Instead, an awe-inspiring smorgasbord of planets, stars and galaxies, and where exploration of Nature is an exhilarating adventure.
The variety of bugs, birds, and music seems almost gratuitous.
Clearly, our lives are designed to be full of delightful moments, ideas, emotions, and relationships. Even the challenging and sorrowful times are chock-full of meaning and purpose.
Thank you, God, for our sojourn on this planet. I look forward to the eternity of delights you have in store for us, and the opportunity to pick your creative brain.
Kyrie eleison.

"Election Integrity Lawsuits"
When people tell me about their particular lawsuits, I ask them a simple question, "What is the remedy you are seeking?"
Most often, they struggle to produce an answer.
When they do answer I then ask, "And how will that remedy improve the integrity of our elections?"
Most often, they grimace and acknowledge that even if they can get their case into court, and then even win their case, the remedy that they obtain does not address the core problems with our elections.
"Then why are you pursuing this strategy?" Is my next question...
I am not against lawsuits. But you are fighting the war on *their* ground with *their* rules, and they keep moving the goal posts.
Not a good strategy.
I acknowledge that lawsuits can help with public education, but they are mostly hamster wheels... spending lots of time and resources accomplishing little and encouraging election integrity to be a spectator sport by waiting for court outcomes.
There are faster, more efficient ways to effect election integrity:
We the People.
