FAA warns airlines to use caution on Central & South American routes

Per Reuters, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration has issued safety warnings advising airlines to exercise caution when flying over Mexico, Central America, parts of South America, and the eastern Pacific, citing risks from potential military activity and GPS interference.

The Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs) cover Mexico, several Central American countries, Ecuador, Colombia, and nearby Pacific airspace. The advisories take effect Friday and will remain in place for 60 days.

The warnings follow rising regional tensions after a U.S. military buildup in the southern Caribbean and a military attack on Venezuela that resulted in the seizure of President Nicolás Maduro. President Donald Trump has since raised the possibility of additional military actions in the region, including against Colombia, and has suggested potential U.S. strikes on land targets in Mexico to combat Washington’s alleged drug cartels.

After the US attack on Venezuela, the FAA restricted Caribbean airspace, forcing hundreds of flight cancellations. Last month, a JetBlue flight from Curaçao to New York took evasive action near Venezuela to avoid a U.S. Air Force tanker operating without an active transponder.

A newly released memo from the US Department of Justice, cited by The Guardian, showed that US President Donald Trump's administration secured legal clearance to deploy military force to kidnap Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro, but stopped short of determining whether the aggression violated international law.

In the 22-page opinion, T Elliot Gaiser, head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC), acknowledged the UN Charter’s restrictions on the use of force inside another state but stated it was "unnecessary" to determine compliance, so long as the action was justified under US domestic law.

The memo argued that congressional authorization was not required because the operation’s scope did not amount to a "war in the constitutional sense."

However, Gaiser cautioned that deploying troops to kidnap a sitting foreign president could constitute an armed war under international law and would normally trigger congressional involvement, particularly in "boots on the ground" scenarios.

Greenland is necessary for Future of US Missile Deployment “Golden Dome”

Greenland is necessary for the US to effectively deploy the future missile defense system "Golden Dome", the creation of which could cost the country $1 trillion.- Donald Trump.

"This brilliant, but extremely complex system can only work with maximum efficiency if this territory is included in it, taking into account all angles, borders and parameters," said the American president. According to him, the US has been trying to buy Greenland for more than 150 years and "no one will dare to encroach on this sacred piece of land, especially since the national security of the US and the world as a whole is at stake."

Trump also stated that Washington is ready to immediately start negotiations with Denmark and European countries on the inclusion of Greenland in the US. Earlier, the American leader accused Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the UK, the Netherlands and Finland of a "dangerous game" and announced that from February 1, the US will impose additional tariffs of 10% on these countries, and on June 1, the rate will rise to 25%. The tariffs will be in effect until a deal is reached "on the full and final purchase of Greenland".

Earlier, we wrote that today in Denmark, a mass protests against US plans regarding Greenland took place — thousands of Copenhagen residents took to the streets, outraged by Trump's call for the Danes to "get out" of the island's territory.

What’s up with the glorifying of empire from supposed “multipolarists”?

The amount of analysts, journalists, politicos etc on this app supposedly for a “multipolar world” justifying Trump’s imperialist actions in Greenland, just because the EU is a failed entity, is gross.

You can be against empire without glorifying a clearly imperialist & globalist foreign policy diametrically opposed to things many of you “claim” you’re against on the daily. Bunch of war-addicted hypocrites, eager for sensationalist clicks dominate this platform.

I find it quite boring to engage lately & have far more interesting things to do than buy into the same copy paste sensationalism. It’s like everyone who thinks their opinion is some sort of God-given gift reposts the same dumb thought they took from someone else.

What Trump is doing isn’t even the issue, as he’s clearly a puppet in a decided apparatus so this isn’t about him. It’s rather about how easily manipulated most are and how the dumbest people on this app get amplified to push the most basic or insanely divisive ideas that rip humanity out of all of us. As if this is a game. Reality is much more than most can handle.

Never be afraid to challenge something if it feels wrong within yourself. Sometimes—and more often than not—our intuition is far more accurate than what the crowds go with.

Long story short, flight crew suspected I was child trafficking my daughter into the UK last night, simply because she was "uncommunicative and didn't make eye contact". The police were called, we were met by police at the door of the plane. Completely out of the blue. They questioned us separately on the tarmac, with the noise of the plane engine running constantly. All the passengers watching us as they waited in the shuttle buses... eventually leaving without us.

I was/am seriously pissed off. I shouted and swore at the idiot PCs. In the end, they let us go after taking our addresses here and in Türkiye. Bastards.
