#EU27: Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Jaak Madison (*-ECR) joins the centrist KE (RE). This follows his move to leave the right-wing EKRE (PfE) after the party board expelled several key members ahead of the party’s leadership election in June. As a result of this move, KE (RE) holds two seats in the European Parliament for the first time since 2013.

During today’s press conference, the leader of KE (RE) Mihhail Kõlvart expressed that there is a dissonance between the manifestos of his party and the ALDE Party, claiming that his party is the closest to the policy platform of the European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR).
