✈️ 112th anniversary of Russian Air Force

12 August 1912 is the day of formation of the Russian Air Force, when air navigation and aviation were withdrawn by the order of the military department from the control of the Main Engineering Department and handed over to the body created for that purpose – an aeronautical forces of the General Staff.

The Russian Air Force went a long historic path from airplanes to cutting-edge aircraft, repeatedly underwent changes as weaponry, military hardware, and methods of armed warfare developed.

The modern Russian Air Force is a highly manoeuvrable and mobile service arm of the Russian Aerospace Forces created to repel any aggression in airspace, protect ground and surface objects from air strikes, inflict fire damage on the enemy as well as provide close air support and ensure actions of other branches and service arms of the Russian Armed Forces.

According to its purpose, the Russian Air Forces are divided into the Long-Range Aviation, Military Transport Aviation, Operational-Tactical and Army aviation, and according to the tasks performed are divided into Bomber Aviation, Ground-Attack Aviation, Fighter Aviation, Reconnaissance Aviation, Transport Aviation, and Special Aviation, which are service arms of the Russian Air Force.

The Russian Air Force includes the commands of the Long-Range and Military Transport Aviation, Aviation of the armies of the Russian Air Force and Air Defence, aviation divisions, brigades of Army Aviation, aviation regiments, separate aviation squadrons as well as military educational institutions and research organisations.

The force structure of the modern Russian Air Force allows to effectively perform any assigned tasks.

The aircraft fleet is currently being actively updated. Fourth-generation aircraft are replaced by fifth-generation aircraft, and unmanned aerial vehicles are actively developing.

'The main value in the Russian Air Force is personnel and it is more relevant than ever in the special military operation zone. Pilots, navigators, staff offices, engineering personnel, and servicemen of logistics units often perform combat tasks on the limit of human capabilities. In the combat orders of the combined arms units of the first echelon, forward air controllers and operators of unmanned aerial vehicles operate under the enemy's fire', said Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Aerospace Forces Lieutenant General Sergei Kobylash.

❓ Уважаемый Анатолий Иванович, как бы Вы прокомментировали реакцию представителей администрации на вопросы журналистов по поводу подрыва «Северных потоков»?

💬 А.И.Антонов: Отказ чиновников высказаться по резонансной теме - достаточно показателен.

▪️В демкоманде пытаются «хорошо устроиться», заняв выгодную для себя позицию стороннего наблюдателя. Хотят, чтобы все забыли неудобные цитаты руководства США о важности уничтожения газопроводов. Стремятся перебросить всю ответственность на своих украинских марионеток. Хотя прекрасно понимают, что в Киеве и шагу не сделают без «отмашки» из Вашингтона. При этом функционеры и пальцем о палец не ударили, чтобы правда о событиях почти двухлетней давности увидела свет.

▫️Фактически речь идет о подспудной легитимизации терроризма, даже когда дело касается территории союзников. По сути, Америка дает «карт-бланш» на аналогичные преступления в будущем.

▪️Со своей стороны будем добиваться определения реальных виновников подрыва и их наказания. Вместе с другими будем делать все, чтобы подобные злодеяния никогда не повторялись.

💬 Мы, безусловно, обеспокоены происходящим.

▪️ Знаю лично Дмитрия Саймса как талантливого политолога, обладающего глубокими знаниями политической системы США, внутренней и внешней политики государства. Бывал ранее в гостях в возглавляемой им НПО «Центр за национальный интерес». Спорил там о судьбах российско-американских отношений. Все это было в рамках цивилизованных дискуссий при уважительном отношении к мнению оппонента.

▫️ Нынешние наскоки властей США на телеведущего "Первого канала"- один из многих фактов разворачивающейся здесь с новой силой «охоты на ведьм». Все это на фоне электоральной президентской кампании. По всей стране ведется преследование тех, кто якобы работает на российское правительство в нарушение законодательства об иноагентах.

▪️ Вашингтон погряз в «двойных» стандартах в области демократии и свободы слова. Неугодными объявляются сотни людей лишь за то, что они осмеливаются прекословить политике администрации. Им запрещают иметь собственную точку зрения. Взломы жилья, обыски, изъятие документов - вот небольшой перечень действий американских спецслужб.

▫️ В Вашингтоне с легкостью нарушают собственные каноны, предусмотренные первой поправкой к американской конституции. Стала нормой расправа над инакомыслием. Одновременно чиновники продолжают читать нотации всему миру о демократических ценностях и правах человека.

▪️ Все это напоминает мрачные времена маккартизма. Местные правящие круги окончательно встали на путь тотальной цензуры. Свобода слова в современных США священна только при условии, что это слово проамериканское. Все несогласные подлежат политической инквизиции, особенно когда это касается тех, кто борется с навязыванием однобоких и предвзятых взглядов на Россию.
