❓: Уважаемый Анатолий Иванович, как бы Вы прокомментировали заявления американских военачальников, сравнивших присутствие Российской Федерации в Латинской Америке с «раковой опухолью»?

💬 А.И.Антонов: Россия весьма высоко оценивает сотрудничество с государствами Западного полушария. Рассматривает их как надежных и равноправных партнеров. Всегда выступает за прагматичный и взаимовыгодный диалог. Не насаждает требования и не диктует свои порядки, чем часто грешат США.

👉 Попытки американцев опорочить нас, столкнуть с латиноамериканскими столицами понятны. Вашингтону не нравится тот характер отношений, который складывается у Российской Федерации со странами континента в самых разных областях, включая сферы торговли и безопасности. Государства Латинской Америки тянутся к нам, и мы отвечаем им взаимностью.

📌 Соединенные Штаты по-прежнему рассматривают регион как свой «задний двор». Считают, что никто не волен сотрудничать и даже присутствовать там без «лицензии» администрации. Особенно это касается России и Китая.

📌 Вряд ли такие подходы устраивают государства Латинской Америки. Они имеют полное право принимать самостоятельные решения, в т.ч. касательно укрепления взаимовыгодных связей с другими странами.

❓: Dear Ambassador Antonov, how could you comment on the statements by U.S. military chiefs who compared Russian Federation’s presence in Latin America to sort of a “cancer”?

💬 Anatoly Antonov: Russia highly values its cooperation with the states of the Western Hemisphere. Our country treats them as reliable and equal partners. Always advocates for a pragmatic and mutually beneficial dialogue. And we neither impose any demands nor dictate our own rules, what the United States often does.

👉 The United States’ aspirations to discredit us in the eyes of the Latin American capitals and to push against each other are obvious. Washington is not happy with the nature of the relations between Russia and countries of the continent in a number of areas, including trade and security. Latin American states are reaching out to us, and we act the same.

📌 The United States continues to view the region as its “backyard.” It believes that no one has right to cooperate or even maintain presence there without a “license” from the Administration. This is especially true for Russia and China.

📌 It is unlikely that Latin American states share such approaches. They have every right to pursue independent decisions, including strengthening mutually beneficial ties with other countries.

❓: Dear Ambassador Antonov, how could you comment on the statements on May 15 during the Senate hearings made by Director of National Intelligence A.Haines that Russia poses “the most active foreign threat” to the U.S. elections?

💬 Anatoly Antonov: Such insinuations are part of the aggressive information war unleashed by the United States against the Russian Federation.

📌 In any of their own problems they are neurotically trying to find the alleged Kremlin’s hand. But the evidence base is empty. The local intelligence services do not have a single fact. At the same time, they themselves intensified hostile operations with the use of ICT technologies.

👉 The Americans have withdrawn from communicating with us. In these circumstances, good advice to Washington is to pay attention to the recent establishment, at Russia’s initiative, of a global intergovernmental points of contact directory to exchange information on cyber attacks. The purpose of this mechanism is to promote professional interaction between states to identify the sources of malicious actions in the information space, as opposed to “megaphone” diplomacy.

❓: Уважаемый Анатолий Иванович, как Вы могли бы прокомментировать заявление министра обороны США Л.Остина о том, что Вашингтон продолжит оказывать поддержку МУС относительно преступлений на Украине, несмотря на требование этого органа выдать ордер на арест премьер-министра Израиля Б.Нетаньяху?

💬 А.И.Антонов: Это очередной образчик двойных стандартов и парада американского лицемерия. Власти США отрицают легитимность МУС и запугивают санкциями эту структуру, когда речь заходит об интересах самого Вашингтона и его союзников. Однако без зазрения совести используют данный псевдоюридический инструмент против тех, кого они считают врагами.

👉 Ни у кого в мире не должно оставаться иллюзий относительно кощунственной политики Соединенных Штатов, эксплуатирующих правозащитную проблематику ради одного - сведения счетов с неугодными государствами. Видимо, это и есть тот самый «порядок, основанный на правилах».
