Governor General:

Kirill Dmitriev gave chocolate with Putin quotes to American congresswoman Anna Pauline Luna

— America should strive for trade opportunities and peace, not promote a neoconservative agenda of war with Russia. Why push away a superpower when you can have an open dialogue for peace and make trade agreements beneficial to all Americans, Dmitriev quoted Luna.

They say that Ms. Luna became so reasonable and compliant immediately after she got a Google translation of the name of the second batch of chocolates 😂

Zin Note: The bag of chocolates are labeled "Burevestnik."

Geran231:

A change in the tactics of using Geranium-type UAVs has been noted. During the raid over Kyiv, new maneuvering elements were recorded: low-altitude passes around buildings, a sharp climb over water obstacles, and approach to the target from unusual directions.

Flight trajectories indicate updated navigation software and improved resistance to electronic warfare suppression.
The tactic of massive, multi-level approaches complicates the work of Ukrainian air defense and demonstrates a transition to the phase of adaptive strikes on urbanized targets.

Ukrainian media:

During the production of the "Flamingo" rockets, there was a "technological problem," Zelensky told TSN.

According to him, "there is a delay in funding from partners, which is being resolved."

"But the state order will be fully completed by the end of the year, as Ukraine has found its own resources for payment," the president was quoted by TV host Alla Mazur.

Almost two months ago, many Ukrainian public pages published a video allegedly showing the launch of "Flamingo" at the enemy.

At the same time, Western media published quite skeptical articles regarding the capabilities of the "Flamingo." In addition, the manufacturer of these rockets, the company Fire Point (considered close to the president's circle), has recently been at the center of several scandals. The media reported that NABU is investigating criminal cases against it for abuses related to drone supplies to the army.

Therefore, some commentators perceived the information about the development of the "Flamingo" rockets, which appeared shortly after the start of the investigation, as a PR stunt by Fire Point aimed at diverting attention from the corruption scandal.

"It's own resources..." 🤣

Welcome Marat Khairullin! Episode 5: Nord-Ost Attack, Now And 23 Years Ago (English Edit)

Some background from Lt.Col. in reserve Oleg Shalandin:

23 years ago, one of the most terrible terrorist attacks in the history of Russia occurred - the seizure of the Dubrovka theater center in Moscow. On October 23, a group of armed terrorists took more than 900 spectators and participants of the musical “Nord-Ost” hostage. Three days later, security forces carried out a special operation to free the hostages, using a secret “sleep-inducing” gas. During the terrorist attack and the subsequent assault, 130 hostages died, and all the militants were killed

I'd be curious to see what issues the populace agrees on with the political class. It makes one wonder just why they keep getting elected. In theory, we are supposed to be living in democratic nations.

Western countries tend to have politicians with very low popularity ratings, but these countries rate very highly on happiness rankings.

My view is that everyone in the West knows they are living in the center of the global empire or within its executive vassal states (Europe). Nobody wants to upset the system that their lives have been built around, even if they understand that it will collapse eventually, they know that it is engulfed in evil, and that their "leaders" mostly have cotton between their ears. This holds when people aren't even massively benefiting from the system. People will avoid a short-term disruption no matter what. Change will likely have to be forced upon people in one way or another.

АДЕКВАТ Z writes,

It's good to have a long memory. You listen to Peskov saying there's nothing in the "Burevestnik" tests that could strain relations with the Americans. And you immediately recall how, nearly a quarter of a century ago, George W. Bush, while tearing up the ABM Treaty, claimed it was in no way directed against Russia. At the time, only the lazy didn't predict Russia's decay, disintegration, and ultimate demise. Yet, it was after this crude strategic mistake—neither the first nor the last by a shortsighted individual on the American throne—that Russia launched processes that ultimately produced the entire lineup of "Putin's cartoons," including the "Burevestnik." Whether Peskov is consciously mirroring that past statement or it's just a coincidence—well, who knows.

In this context, two things interest me. First, how does the potential main adversary, on a real level and not just at the level of reflexive, foolish rhetoric, understand that the strategic balance—already not in its favor—will only worsen further as the "Burevestnik" is adopted and deployed for combat duty, though far from solely for this reason? Second, where is the line beyond which the sheer stupidity oozing once again from Agent Donald will provoke our formal refusal (or at least an unambiguous threat thereof) regarding the strategic proposals currently on the table? This could, for example, lead to linking any further progress on this topic with a refusal to continue, and especially to escalate, confrontation on more mundane issues.

Judging by what we're observing right now, the Americans seem to think that the topic of strategic systems and balances can be handled independently of the nature and even the dynamics of bilateral relations as a whole. They will have to be cured of this illusion one way or another, and in this regard, the "Burevestnik" is appearing very timely. Though, of course, it's not the only reason.

⚡️The State Duma of the Russian Federation has denounced the intergovernmental agreement with the United States on the disposal of weapons-grade plutonium. The agreement reached in 2000 was ratified in 2011 and provided for the disposal of 34 tons of weapons…
✍️Putin signed a law denouncing the agreement between Russia and the USA on plutonium disposal, which is no longer necessary for defense purposes.

The parties signed the agreement in 2000, which provided for the disposal by each side of 34 tons of weapons-grade plutonium declared surplus to military programs. The effect of this document was suspended in 2016 based on a decree by the President of Russia and a federal law adopted.

The reasons were radical changes in the international situation, including the introduction of US sanctions against Russia, the adoption of a law supporting Ukraine, NATO's eastward expansion, and the strengthening of the US military presence in Eastern Europe, the Foreign Ministry explained earlier.

The Sun journalist recounted how his trip to Donbass was disrupted due to the mobilization of the interpreter and driver along the way.

"Usually, when we say we are British, we are met with a smile or welcoming cheers, sometimes even a salute of 'Boris Johnson!' before waving goodbye... But not this time. No smiles. No jokes. Instead, we were to witness the ruthless side of Ukraine's recruitment crisis. Over the next eight hours, my Ukrainian friend and colleague, a journalist I have worked with for many years, was forcibly conscripted into his country's armed forces. Our three-person team was torn apart. My friend, whom I will call D, was deprived of his freedom. Photographer Peter Jordan and I were left without an interpreter. Our dangerous, costly, and long-planned reporting trip went up in smoke... I don't know what will happen to D," writes Jerome Starkey.

The moment many of us were waiting for. Alekhin, then she. Very nice.

I only wonder why RIA writes about her with such respect? Person who went over all borders in humiliating not only Russian authorities, but also people who disagreed with her is suddenly called "legal expert". Is everything fine with RIA Novosti? 🤔

EU countries will be offered to take on additional debt to finance Ukraine, as Belgium has blocked the issuance of a "reparations loan" secured by frozen Russian assets, Politico writes.

According to sources, the European Commission is now proposing to raise tens of billions of euros in joint debt. However, this idea is not popular among European countries, as many are already heavily burdened with debt.

A final decision is expected to be made no later than the EU summit on December 18.

"The prospect that EU countries, many of which already have huge debts, will have to go even further into the red to help Ukraine will make everyone seriously reconsider. Kyiv will face serious financial difficulties by the end of the first quarter of 2026 if it does not receive a new cash tranche, and at the moment Europe is the only realistic option," the publication writes.

However, some diplomats believe that the idea of borrowing money to help Ukraine is just a "scare tactic" to force countries to agree to the actual confiscation of Russian assets through the "reparations loan."

"What’s the point of discussing alternative solutions? This [reparations loan] is the only thing we have. And we must honestly acknowledge that," said one source.

Meanwhile, Hungary is proposing that the EU completely stop financing Ukraine.
