- The caller immediately dialed 911, identified Hairston as a "neighborhood child pedophile," followed the vehicle, and provided real-time updates despite dispatch advising against it.

- Deputies stopped Hairston's white Ford F-150 on U.S. Highway 1; the 11-year-old was traumatized and confirmed he had been kidnapped.
