🇺🇦Since June, Zelensky has been “ignoring pressure from the military” demanding that he sign a bill lowering the conscription age for men from 27 to 25 years, writes Bloomberg.

“The law should have come into force - parliament fully supported it. The conscription is now difficult,” said Roman Kostenko, a member of the Rada Defense Committee.

The publication's sources say Zelensky's reluctance to sign the law "stems from his desire to see a clear plan for what the army seeks to achieve through conscription, how recruits will be distributed and how to rotate those who have been on the battlefield for 21 months."

“I expect a more thorough analysis of each of these issues both from the government and from the military and concrete proposals,” Zelensky said on Friday after a meeting with military commanders.

This delay worries the military, which expects to receive an additional 140 000 potential conscripts by lowering the age limit.

Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhny also mentioned this law previously when he said that the law now provides for the exemption from mobilization of those who are under 27 years of age and do not have military service experience
